This whole idiotic 'because she's madonna' nonsense is rhetorical and stupid at most. Being constantly late to something people are prying a lot of money to see is disrespectful to the people who respect you enough to buy a ticket to our show, this applies to any artist in the industry including Madge, she most certainly doesn't have a different set of rules than everyone else no matter how much you or she might think she has. I still stand by what I said. You can either accept it or don't go. It isn't a hard concept to grasp. Reveal hidden contents I think just that fans expect her to be on at a reasonable time, because there shouldn't be a huge gap between the DJ set and the actual performer coming on, tends to look bad and anger the crowd. 2 minutes ago, ajhuffman219 said: I still stand by what I said. boyerased 2,848
What if I ate at a restaurant and the food arrived 3 hours later? Would it be okay? To the people saying take it or leave it, I know that she didn't promised a specific time to perform but she works in the an industry where certain standards and decorum are held. She is a veteran in this industry and she is expected to show a high level of professionalism because of her seniority. Again it is not written but then you made people pay much higher than other artists so it is fair and proper for them to expect you to be above your peers, in performances and in manners. Hurem 17,800
I am so pissed off when artists are let to their shows. Like what the hell do you have to do that's making you late? Gaga was only like 20-25 minutes late for my show which is okay, but if it was like an hour I'd be pissedT. Britney was on poinT.

Schwerk 6,988
I once asked Gaga's tourmanager why she's always on about half an hour late. He said it's to build up tention in the venue and to make sure everyone made it and is in their seats. Madonna has a rep for being at least on hour late but starting at 11 when the opening act is at 8 baffles me. Is she really out of touch with reality? People have to be able to get home, public transport doesn't run all night and traffic after a show is a mess. If Gaga did this I'd be really pissed off, especially after waiting all day. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
LoveandMagic 1,731
Having a rep for chronic lateness is never a good thing, it seems like total disrespect for the fans. Being half hour to an hour late I can see many reasons for, if done only on occasion, but constant, long time tardiness (several hours) doesn't look good. Madonna is a fantastic performer, people will pay huge amounts to see her live because she is such a legendary act, so I hope that this news is being exaggerated or there is a very good reason behind it all. It would be a shame to keep all those people waiting for many hours. Plus, it's not good for concert morale. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax." ElectricHaus 227
I saw Madonna in Tulsa a couple of weeks ago and was extremely pissed. The ticket said the opening act would be on a 8 well he didn't come on until 8:45 and i'm sure it wasn't his fault. He was probably told to go on that time because Madonna was running late. People kept coming on stage saying things to him, which im sure where to tell him to keep playing. He was an unknown Dj and probably because he doesn't play any songs that anyone knew. Finaly around 9:45 he got off the stage and Madonna came on at 10:45 and she plaid till 1:00. She was so late she cut a segment out of her show and I was pissed. Probably the first and last time I'll ever pay to see her.

StrawberryBlond 14,102
It amazes me that she still has people willing to go see her live when we know this happens every time. Although downsizing from stadiums to arenas (and having a lack of demand for second dates) certainly is a bit evidencial that people are getting sick of it. I cannot abide it when artists seem to think that they're better than everyone else and can do whatever they like. When you leave the venue to get into your chauffeur driven limo to be taken directly to your 5 star hotel to collapse straight into bed, it's easy to forget that your audience had to leave early to catch the last bus/train home or had to shiver for ages waiting for a taxi, were stuck in traffic getting out the vicinity of the place, had to pay their babysitter for overtime... As I always say: if you don't like how an artist treats you, stop buying into them. Hit them where it hurts - their bank accounts. With poor album sales, poor ticket sales and no hype or love going for them, they'll soon learn an important lesson about respect. That's when they find out that they're not running the show - we are.
