THIS. Also, as she said, it was the first time ever that the words "gay, straight, or bi, Llesbian, transgendered life" were listened on the radio. And we had to wait till 2011 for that to happen...

Yes! I remember there was a big deal about that and that some radio stations wanted to censor (:wtf:) that portion of the song. I was so very proud to hear that on the radio and be so open about it.

That's actually very true.

At this particular point in her career, Gaga had the opportunity to cash-in and go on some hegemonic pop-star route. She instead took the risk with this album and song.

I really commend her for doing that.
