Klou 2,414
Gaga's past albums from The Fame through ARTPOP have all been these big pop albums with a big focus on production and sound. After seeing all these producers she's working with (other than RedOne) and the direction she's gone this last year, LG5 is likely going to be very stripped and totally different from what she's done before and much more mature. I feel like many fans may not like the new album because let's face it... We all became fans due to her past ones. This one will likely stand out like a black sheep and cause disinterest from some fans, but the important thing is it could cause Gaga to gain the most amount of new fans since her early albums. MANiCURE1295 8,673
I, for one, am very excited about this new direction. It's a direction that I think is a necessary step and was bound to come. Gaga has done A LOT for electric dance music and brought dance back to the main front back around 08 but it was bound time that she had to adapt to a new sound and direction. Gaga has a crazy year ahead! Everyone hold on tight!
Dangerous Man 9,245
I thought they said Gaga is going to back to her early stuff? But if what you said become true and the music is good then i don't really mind if it is going to be different. At least she'll not be making the same sound like other popstars are doing. Red 97,982
I don't think it will be stripped, I think it will be normal pop music with better vocals, a TFM/BTW and C2C hybrid If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. DoWhatUWant 11
As long as she creates GOOD music, her fans will stand by her, and new fans will flock.
Harry 26,836
Yeah I also have the feeling that a lot of fans who specifically like the 'crazy' dance/pop side of her may be disappointed. But I still kind of think she might surprise me even though she's been dropping these suggestions of making "real" music, or whatever. I hope she won't completely abandon the theatric nature of it all and stay behind the piano all the time. I love that side of Gaga but I think she can pull it off even if the music isn't all electronic and poppy. At this point I'm literally imagining her putting out a Bruno Mars album lol but I honestly have no idea. I felt like there was a clear idea before BTW and AP, but at the moment I have no idea and that excites me... I do have the feeling that it'll be totally different though. I can't wait for the announcement because I know I'm going to be shocked whichever way it goes.
Babel 41,431
I used to think LG5 was gonna be very Adele-esque record, but at this point I don't know anymore. ARTPOP was easier to predict because her description pre-era were very clear, but I found myself right now in like a pre-Born This Way era, with a lead single upon us with a sound no one has a clue how it's going to be, and I prefer to keep myself that way, clueless. I don't want to expect something different and end up 'disappointed'.
Klou 2,414
3 minutes ago, Nobody said: I thought they said Gaga is going to back to her early stuff? But if what you said become true and the music is good then i don't really mind if it is going to be different. At least she'll not be making the same sound like other popstars are doing. He did say You & I, which is a pretty simple song. He also said Bad Romance and we know RedOne is involved, but I personally don't think he will be all over the album. These other producers/songwriters like Nile, Mark, and Diane would definitely not be making songs akin to BR.
mariomania1234 11,368
I definitely get the vibe that this is going to be a landmark album in her discography. All of her albums have vastly different flavors of electronica, but I foresee a massive overhaul sonically for this one. I'm picturing a more pure and clean sound, basically the antithesis to BTW (which is my favorite of hers). Who knows really. You never really know what she's going to bring to the table musically. Iwontell 7,312
Well...by looking at the producers and writers she has enlisted to help her, I'd say that what you're saying is partially true. She seems to be striving for better lyrics, a more mature sound and a more universal appeal. However, I think she'll make room for three or four dance songs (not EDM or electropop, but dance music nonetheless, like a neo-disco or a funky thing) to be explored as singles, in case her new direction doesn't bring in the expected results. So, in the end of the day there will be a little something for everybody. And her ways as an artist, her theatricality, I don't think she'll be able to let go of that, at least not completely... To sum it up, I think she's more refining herself and her music than entirely changing what she does...she seems to be the kind of person who'll keep aggregating things to her "universe" and working on them from time to time, then the kind of person that does one thing and gets over it entirely before moving to something else... Anyway, this is all speculation...let's wait for things to happen... ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you. Hexxx 2,244
I just need to hear the first single to see what this new direction is like. I just want her to have a happy, acclaimed and successful era. Lady Gaga/ Madonna/Lana /Azealia Banks/ Jazmine Sullivan/ DEEE-LITE/ Moko
