But the reality is that he is wrong with both of these comments. ARTPOP may not be the greatest album ever, or even Gaga's best album, but there is rarely anything in this album that screams awful, horrible, or simply bad. By listening to the album you can easily tell that Gaga put a lot of work into the lyrics as most songs have great metaphors that represent many meaningful things to her (even the silly lyrics are well used in accordance to the theme of each song). Now, listen to the melodies that Gaga created and they are easily some of the best pop melodies released that year. To continue, the varied and intricate instrumentals make the songs feel alive, while at the same time making Gaga's goal of creating something fun out of her personally pain a reality (and this is true whether or not some instrumentals were bought). Also, Gaga's great and versatile vocals are used clearly and appropriately in each and every song on the album. Finally, Gaga may admit that ARTPOP was not well received and that she received backlash for it, but she will never admit that the album was bad because its obvious that Gaga loves all the music she makes. But if you ask me if I agree with him: It's actually my favorite album, so long live In before ARTPOP haters come and convince everyone who loves ARTPOP to agree with them because they can't sleep if other fans love something they don't. He didn't have to call the album "bad," especially when he performed one of the damn songs with her but I do believe he has her best interest in mind. ARTPOP is in fact of the most polarizing pop album of this decae. You either love it or hate it. In my opinion, I don't think that it is a bad album but there are many people who do. She did me well and I still blast the album on my way to work, getting ready, and when I'm going out with friends. I think it's her favorite work because it was so personal for her. BTW was a gift to us and ARTPOP was a gift for her to deal with her insecurities. The only critiques I have with the era is management and the media.
