I believe this is the final one with Interscope. However, I don't think Interscope was the issue, it was her branch of the label/ her team. Interscope has been great to her.

She has two more albums to fulfill her contract with Interscope.

He doesn't known what he's talking about. Wasn't he supposed to be in like btw and ARTPOP? He always says he has exclusive info but it never matches up to the end results.

ARTPOP wasn't so bad either. Just bad singles and bad management.

If those 2 songs are like You and I and Bad Romance, it means that it might be something similar to The Fame Monster (You and I was written sometime in 2009-2010 if I'm not wrong)

I think you are the guys that are complaining instead of Elton...

First guys, you are like "we need some LG5 information", when someone tells the smallest thing about the album you are all freaking out (me too, so that's not the problem)

but now you've got some nice information about the album AND Elton John and you are all complaining about the ARTPOP comment... ARTPOP is not her best album when you look at the lyrics, (recycled) instrumentals, mixing...

There is no reason to be angry, you can have your opinion and Elton can have his.. But just focus at LG5 or the collaboration instead of a 3 year old dead era

Transcript of his interview:

"I'm writing with Gaga tomorrow. She's doing a new record. I've heard two songs which are killer, they're just great songs, it's like back to the early stuff of hers - "You & I" and the Bruce Springsteen ballad "Bad Romance". She made some bad career decisions, ARTPOP was not a good idea, it was not a good album, I think she will admit that. In the midst of that, last year, which was 2015, she did three things which were kind of amazing. She did the whole tour and album with Tony Bennett, which did amazingly well. She sang the Julie Andrews tribute at the Oscars which everyone loved. And she was on American Horror Story. I think she's a great writer, to me she is Stefani Germanotta and I love her and care about her, she's the godmother of my two children. I want her to make a simple, fabulous, great song record. Maybe like Tapestry, but her version of Tapestry. I heard two of the songs. They're not complex arrangements, but they're great songs. It's all about the song."

I can't at some Monsters bashing Elton. Of all the people we should be grateful that he exists on Gaga's life to keep her grounded. Criticize her to challenge her. Doesn't mean that he hated the album that he doesn't like any of the songs.

I appreciate his honesty. Real friends are never yes-men. There's a reason he allowed stef to be the godmother for his child[ren].

I did a Tarot reading about the new era and record, but I will post it in a new thread later.

P.S. In the middle of BTW ball, I had predicted that the tour would end abruptly due to a health serious issue, and there were going to be consequences into her career. No One believed me, and when it all happened and I pointed to my early thread for proof, people where "so what?".

Lesson I learned: If my predictions were wrong, everyone would be "you are a delusional fraud". But when they were correct, shockingly correct, everyone was like "so what?".

But I will give it to you again, because you will be shocked at the turn of events that will unfold in 2016. Hint: success and a very different artistic approach to her lyrics and aesthetics.

EDIT: Check my post and reply history back at the days of the tour cancellation if u don't believe me!

I just noticed he said like the Bruce Springsteen ballad- all I can think of is either Marry The Night or The Edge of Glory since those are essentially what she described as being Bruce Springsteen songs tbh

The hype for this album :air:

This sounds great if it works for her honestly... Simple yet effective songs is what we need in my opinion.

If this bitch doesn't release this album by May  I mean, two songs already finished!

It wasn't the place to say that.

I don't think Gaga will be happy with him bashing her album in public, even if it is his opinion. Ther are supposed to be friends, and they will be working together tomorrow. I wouldn't do that to a friend.

It is like Gaga going to a radio and saying: yeah I wrote some songs with my friend Elton. I love him and even tho he has that album that is soooo bad, he still has talent.

Like wtf.

Didn't like this a bit. And it wouldn't surprise me if Gaga was somehow... angry/sad at his words.

Just because he is on radio, he can have his opinion and I am sure Gaga wouldn't mind if he told her that in private.

People here should stop saying that he's talking about her pre-TF era/Red and Blue when he's talking about her early work whereas that album is nonexistent in her discography and nobody outside her stans knows anything about it

And I don't need Elton John to label ARTPOP as a bad album either. So his honesty being one of her closest and sincere friends is greatly appreciated except giving too much information about hearing two simply-arranged-yet-great songs on LG5 and even describing them like her previous two timeless hits. I may be being ungrateful but I've been all dead fed up with hype from anything about Gaga's new music. ARTPOP was traumatic (anticipation, the music itself [quality], the fanbase, and its performance not just commercially) and the controversies weren't fun at all, BTW was totally worth fighting for back on those days. But I'm looking forward big time on this new album, better be worth it- after learning lessons from all of the mess that era did 3 years ago and not wasting this another momentum she's having in the beginning of this new year.
