(He also said "You & Me" instead of "You & I", which gives my theory more credibility... He must have meant TEOG But I'm only a man and I do what I can. That doesn't make sense.
Guest
I am okay with her going back to her old musical self, as long as it sounds fresh.
ReidOne 12,427
We also have to consider the Clarence Clemons/E-Street Band ties to TEOG ....

But overall, I'm excited, it sounds good. I just hope he doesn't mean early as in 'The Fame' because I don't see an album like that making sense for Gags now Bruce said he wished he had wrote it & it was inspired by him, so I think that's what he means. giskardsb 12,565
Don't ovethink it. Given his examples I interpret this as meaning more tightly crafted songwriting rather than the more extemporaneous stuff. There is no way I would assume he means sonically it's going to sound similar to TFM or BTW, especially given the tapestry reference.
lavenderblondee 3,695
Where are the lies though!? Elton is speaking the truth and spilling the tea.
ReidOne 12,427
If we're being honest, an album of "You & I" and "The Edge of Glory" (while I love them dearly) would be a disappointment for me... I come to the Gaga show for the bops. Gimme those dance hits!! Just looked at my ranked Lady Gaga playlist and my faves are (in order): 1. Poker Face 2. Born This Way 3. Bad Romance 4. Telephone 5. Applause ...gimme those club anthems, girl!!!

He must have meant TEOG Could be... the interviewer sang it tho' and it's a pretty iconic song, so I think he would hear that it was the wrong title? Saying BR when it's one of her most popular songs compared to TEOG... Anyway, I won't get hyped bc I feel that Elton is talking about songwriting and the vocals, not the production of it... And I believe that too bc Bad Romance vs. Yoü & I are very different sonically, but not in terms of good songwriting skills. Idk maybe he meant TEOG but I wouldn't put Bad Romance and Yoü & I in the same setting to describe the whole sound of a new album:P

I love Elton, but maybe he is starting to get a little senile. Lol He wasnt very clear here. I'm not really sure what he meant.

Someone in this thread said that they were gonna spam Eltons twitter to ask what he meant :P
