Exactly which is why she didn't need to apologize. She spoke about stuff we knew already. She didn't really insult Gaga or Diane.

Nope I don't think she needed to apologize actually.

Even if she was right, how is it any of her business?

Americano

People should always think of how something was received or its impact, not the intent. Even if no malicious intent was meant, you should always apologize if you upset the person your comments are aimed at.

I'm glad everyone involved took the high road and we can move on.

Why do people always shade people that like them? :awkney:

I mean Gaga covering your song was the biggest thing to happen in your career in the past 2 years :awkney:

Schwerk

I guess she underestimated the press it would give and how it would hurt Diane instead of help songwriters in general.

It's a strange situation since Gaga is usually the one writing the bulk of the song and others edit it yet she gives them full credit.

Diane probably called if not Bobby. I also wonder what Gagas involvement in the actual writing of the song was but Diane feels she contributed and Gaga has been pretty clear from the start. I guess they feel with their combined forces the song has a much stronger chance at winning, and it's about time Diane wins an Oscar.

And I truly believe if they win, Gaga will let Diane speech and step back to let her have her moment. Unless Diane is at a loss for words, since she doesn't like speaking for a crowd.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

She needed to apologize because we didn't need to know about "her truth" and what she considers songwriting, she implied that Gaga doesn't deserve the nomination and that's only because she was snubbed. It's not Gaga's fault, TIHTY is a better song.

I still don't understand why she even had to say those things in the first place. It was completely unnecessary—and not true.

IMO, Linda was just bitter over the fact that Gaga and Diane were nominated for an Oscar.  In one of Linda's tweets she said something about listening to the demo so something tells me that perhaps Diane originally wanted Linda to sing the song but then changed her mind and decided Lady Gaga to be the one to sing her song.

When Gaga and Diane got in the studio, Gaga rewrote some lines and changed the song to sound like anybody could connect with it, not just rape victims.  Gaga also produced the song so it probably sounds way different from what Linda heard on that demo.

After Linda realized that that could've been her name on that Oscar nomination, her jealousy and rage got the best of her so she took to Twitter to rant about it.  She looks awfully stupid right about now, if you ask me.   :toofunny:

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
