She is very well respected in the music industry and an amazing talent. If you are not a 80's and 90's child like me you probably will be less familiar. If Perry actually has a demo tape and only one line is different than after Gaga came in, you can't really say Gaga had a huge part in writing the song. Yes, her performance of the song may be amazing, but singers and performers of an Oscar nominated song are not who is being honored, it is the writers. If there were an award for best performance of a song that would be different. Obviously none of us really know what happened with this song. No. Do I want her to win? Not after all of this I would rather her not win, I would rather their be no Drama surrounding everything. Linda is pretty bad if you ask me, Its her own opinion but she could of kept it to herself instead of tweeting about it, upsetting monsters and making headlines, maybe she is bitter and wants to stop Diane's and Gaga's Chances? If you really think about it, Linda is actually gunning for Diane and not Gaga. If Linda rejected the song she wouldn't have tweeted about the whole demo situation but since people asked she obviously revealed it. True. The only downside to this is that Gaga is getting more coverage over this little twitter debacle than Dianne and I feel like its gonna tarnish her a bit. Clearly there is some beef with Perry and Warren or Gaga. She wouldn't have stirred the pot if there wasn't. It does make her look childish and petulant though. It was clear that she thinks Gaga doesn't deserve the credit. But why bother to tweet about it now and why not just congratulate all the nominees? deeman 189 Posted January 18, 2016 Share Posted January 18, 2016 Well if she was trusted with a demo and is now talking about it publically then isn't that kind of disresectful and then she is saying that details are not important in song writing so what does that say about her own songs if one line that just so happens to explain the meaning of the rest o the song and she is saying it is not important?
