Yes. She's a single-seller and not an album-seller, her singles, if well promoted, will become big hits in ease.

I predict 130-180k first week in the US, then slowly decreasing to 20-30k per week.. I definitely see a gold certification (eventually!), but the platinum depends on the singles that she releases in the future as well as the promotion.

I think it will be moderately successful, but Rihanna's time of being like one of the big pop girls is probably over. I don't think it will flop, but she's really damaged her career.

Agreed. I don't really see her appeal or what her talent is. I think her attitude and occasional shock value is the only thing that keeps her afloat in the public eye.

If she goes back to annual releases I'm sure she can bounce back and be one of the top pop girls again. She just needs to put out good music.

Honestly. nothing can save it now. Every week that passes without any developments is yet another nail in the coffin. That 8th and final room still hasn't opened after 2 weeks (and they were opening every week for the last 2 months). This buildup is taking way too long and her fans are officially pissed. Yes, she's working on a song with Drake which is supposedly the next single but it's too little too late. And she's already had 2 hit singles with Drake (What's My Name and Take Care). WMN sold 6 million in the US and TC sold 4 million. WMN went #1 and TC went top ten. I highly doubt lightning's going to strike a third time. Drake was such an obvious choice too because he's currently at his career peak. So much for Anti being experimental and non commercial! We're realising that she does indeed just care about hits when she makes choices like this. Really, it doesn't matter who's on it or how good the music is. The project is dead in the water. Some fans still care but the public sure as hell don't. Rihanna has never been as irrelevant as she is now. And what's shocking is that she doesn't even seem to care, just spending her time sunning herself on holiday. The way things are going, she might pull a Beyonce and only release the album for the latter part of the tour and just giving the first dates a greatest hits selection (one of the most bizarre choices I've ever seen). Which simply isn't good enough. Thing is, even if she does revert back to annual releases after this, she won't be as successful. As a commercial, mainstream artist, she has the trust of the public. She's broken that trust with polarising singles and infinite delays. There's no coming back from that. When you're aimed towards the youth market as much as Rihanna is, when you're no longer deemed cool and relevant anymore, you're DONE. See The Spice Girls, Britney, Xtina, Jessie J and practically every boyband known to man for proof of this theory (Gaga will be ok as she's been aiming herself at a more grown up crowd for a while, especially now).

I think she could still sell well. Not everyone looks into promo and music as much as we do. I learned that last year. If the music is good people will buy.

There are several artists who start touring before they even release an album. Sometimes they release it in the middle of it or between legs, so she's probably going to do that. People bought tickets because it's Rihanna, not because of ANTI. A lot of people who attend these things are casual fans and probably only know about her singles, so it'll be good.

And rihanna is like gaga in the way that she reinvents herself with each album so i dont think she has a one specific peak in her career. Her albums will just be hit or miss depending on if the gp accepts her image/sound.

Probably will still be a relative success. RiRi could s*** and people would buy it. Gaga released TFM 3 days before going on tour, Beyoncé did The Mrs Carter tour with no new album at all and released an album out of nowhere. I'm sure Rihanna will do just fine.
