What the hell do you think anyone votes for someone for? You think people are gonna go vote for Donald Trump with the tagline "Well, I guess I'll sit at a podium for four years"? You think people are gonna go vote for Ted Cruz hoping to hear speeches like "Well yesterday I had chicken salad for dinner, and thought about passing a law to change 4th Street to Hamilton Ln."? People vote for a candidate because they're going in with the hope that this will be the person to change the country for the better. But because Bernie is a message of liberal hope all of a sudden it's just young millenials with heads stuck in rainbows? You can miss me with whatever that is.

Rainbows and smiles was just a metaphor for getting rid of all the country's problems. :derpga::air::derpga:

I don't think you understand what I was saying. Yes, people obviously vote for a president that will work towards their interests and those interests are usually to make the country better :derpga: And obviously people want Bernie to win because of all the free things he is offering and how he plans to fix America (like everyone else), but what I was saying is that it isn't very easy to get rid of an entire nation's problems. Especially with socialism which has proved itself a very bad idea throughout history.

If he does win the election and manages to make it work then GREAT! But it is still very scary. I know some people think I'm being stupid because Bernie is the trend now and they aren't focusing on the downsides, but I have experience with socialism.

@Florian Actually Fidel Castro did start off as a good guy fighting for the people. He wanted free healthcare and education for all citizens...

Bernz doesn't seem like he'll go crazy and even if he does and becomes a rigid dictator it's not like he has much life left to live :green::deadbanana:

again, people need to be careful with making anything free, because when things are free they lose their quality and value and also hurt the economy.

Each great nation has its downfall and as impossible as it may seem, any of the candidates could be the ultimate wrong choice. Maybe I'm looking at this too hard, or maybe I just know what's up...

A proxy where the U.S. builds military schools in Central America and trains citizens to kill their own people?

Point stands, regardless.

To me it IS. All of these people are jokes, including Hillary Clinton. But, we will have President Hillary Clinton, in the end.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

I don't think anyone believes Bernie will be able to create a utopia within 8 years, but they believe he could be the point where we start heading into those types of ideas, especially in regards to income inequality. I think you're too hung up on the word socialism as if it's some umbrella, catch all term. Democratic socialism is very different from all these horrible failed attempts you probably have in mind. It's still a belief in capitalism but with heavier regulation through a more socialist lens so it guarantees that those on top can't just have free reign on our economy like they currently do, which is why his talk of completely breaking up the big banks is resonating with so many people.

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

They're not killing anyone. The people in those countries are, so no your point doesn't stand.

They're enablers, if anything, and even then the purpose is generally in a morally grey area.

I like this one the best:

@JrdnAllenJones Right....Like I Really Care About The Establishment...Who R They⁉️Am I One⁉️What R The Perks⁉️I WAS POOR & WORKED HARD

— Cher (@cher) January 13, 2016

However these days that doesnt seem to be a Democratic party thought with all the entitlements. Sounds more GOP.  Also @ Rich celebrity who dont have a care in the world telling me how to vote... Ew.

How the **** do you think Canada and Europe are still working fine with free PUBLIC college and universal health care? It works.

With high tax rates and long waits for visits. No thanks to either, for me!

It doesn't matter anyhow, with a Republican Congress, IF Bernie managed to get elected...his hands would be tied on anything as big as universal health care or free college. No way are public universities going to ever be free...their campuses are like small cities with top of the line amenities. The best that could possibly happen is that community college could be free and that is already happening in some states and is catching on across the country.

I used to think that, but everytime something happens in the world that makes people feel unsafe, Trump gains more ground. Everytime something like that happens, these words pop in my head..."we are going to have a Republican President". I just can't believe the nominee is going to end up being Trump. I never saw that one coming.
