39.6 percent is ridiculous?  Plus, most wealthy people earn income from capital gains, which is only taxed at 20 percent.

That's what happens when you have something called Congress, especially one this unproductive and gridlocked.

Yes. The government doesn't create jobs. Maybe you've never had one, but the wealthy are the ones that create jobs, invest in factories, stocks, etc.

Don't be a clown. Making college and healthcare free and regulating banks is not going to make us USSR 2.0.

LOLOL

Right, because what we really need in this economy that is still struggling to get out of the great recession is higher taxes and making college degrees effectively pointless and taking away peoples' rights to invest in themselves...

Even tho Bernie's ideas sound great NOW, so did Fidel Castro's (my former president :green:) and Hitler's, and Stalin's, and Hugo Chavez and every other socialist/communist dictator out there who at first wanted the best for his country but then failed. At first it starts beautiful but it is just not realistic and it fails.

Socialism is a nice idea but honestly not possible. And history has proved it time and time again. Everyone cannot be economically equal, things cannot just be free or there is no quality or motivation. And that's only one of the bad sides, trust me I know!

And the only reason they can do that is because of the middle class buying their products. Consumer spending accounts for nearly 70 percent of the U.S. GDP.

Do you know what you're talking about? Either you miss used a few words, or you're really uneducated on what you're discussing.

Haha, this made me just lol. That's bro.

1) I know it's the largest sector of our GDP, it's not 70 percent tho

2) This is a bad thing?!?!?! Economic activity??? Hahahahahaha, you Bernie supporters...

Regarding Jordan's tweet: what is wrong with wanting a woman to be president? What is wrong with thinking the highest office in this country - the leader of the free world - should be a woman for a change? A woman clearly could not do worse than some of the men who have been given the opportunity.

Men are never questioned about whether gender has to do with which candidate they support. Women shouldn't either, and it's entirely sexist that they so constantly are. But Sanders' supporters are so hypnotized by Bernie that they'll sink to Republican-esque attacks towards their fellow Democrats which will only hurt our party in the end.

Edit: I probably shouldn't have wasted my time writing this - this post is more words than Jordan has followers - but I've noticed this over the past few months and it's very nauseating.

I completely agree and it's very nauseating. So what's the solution? Just simply go with someone you don't align with just so you can not seemed "biased"? These people don't even think.

Ask France how they're doin buddy. More often than not, socialism is an utter failure.

Actually, socialist mandats have never hurt France. The only "excpetion" is our current President who could manage his policy way better (imo). Dominique Strauss-Khan would have done a perfect President for France.

How can you compare a socialism in a free and democratic country with the "socialism" used by the names you just gave ?

Everyone in this thread discussing Bernie like he's some crazy far left socialist to the nth degree show they don't really know all that much about what they're saying :rip: He's a democratic socialist, nowhere NEAR the examples anyone here has listed.

I like Bernie's principals but even I think he is incapable of being elected. It's obvious Hilary is going to be the next president.

America isn't ready for Democratic Socialism and the wealthy don't want it either.

I'm voting for him in the primaries but I know he won't make it.

Wish I lived in a country like the Scandanavian ones tbh. America will never even be close to that.

Some of you are using fear tactics to discredit Bernie though and it's hilarious.

I like a lot of what Bernie has to say, but i cannot vote for him because if he gets the Democratic nomination, a Republican will win. Bernie is too far left to get the moderates' votes that are so crucial.

You're missing the point. Clinton's biggest achievement was being more with the reproductive organs she was assigned to. The only office that she has ever actually had executive experience in she left in shame after 3 Americans died under her watch and then proceeded to lie to the American people about.
