How far we've come Monsters/ This is Gaga's year!

I can't believe how how far we've come. Especially from 2013-2014. I don't know if you guys felt how I felt back then. Being a monster is one of the greatest things in my life. When gaga was all over the place, so strong and fearless and was killing the game she gave me so much confidence just by watching her, hoping I would achieve success in my life she seemed so perfect, I thought no one could ever try to knock her down. But then it was like the whole world, industry, many fans went against her. Im not going to lie it was so painful to watch and experience this fan base and Gaga's message being ripped to shreds on a daily basis. A part of me started to believe the world that she was over. but I never gave up up her and I will never turn my back on her. I Feel ARTPOP taught us who our real friends are who's real in the for the art, and in the long run and not money. It taught me no matter how hard you fall, you will always rise stronger and wiser.

Something else happened in 2013 that did not exist in Gaga's career before. This whole community of trolls and stan wars,, on twitter and social media, by this fan base and fans of other artists. most of the time I've just observed and sheltered by self from going in, and just watch from the outside, But its disappointing and sad as little monsters we let that happen. why did we take part in so much hatred and borderline online harassment . When the online world was ripping Gaga to shreds we responded with so much hate and fire. I hope now when gaga is praised again and on top we as a fan base DONT DO THE SAME TO ANOTHER ARTIST. what about the born this way era, and before that when we used to be so compassionate against bullying when we were the misfits, different, thats what made us united , have we just gotten older or have we become bullies ourselves. And its not everyone who's doing this but we a unintentionally spreading lies and this fight and war mentality to new fans, especially the younger ones. Gaga doesnt need us to defend her anymore, she s so strong and the past year has proved that she has proven us all wrong. when we felt like we knew her at the end of the day we didi not! n she continues to surprise her and I hope that never goes away. I can't even imagine how different my life would be without this woman, I'm not obsessed or anything it something I can't explain, she just gives me hope to live and   that may sound depressing, but to be honest I'm still struggling with the same issues I did in 2010 and I know many fans who still consider them selves the losers, the misfits, victims in a way. But were not , we can be heroes and rise and really blossom this year just like Gaga will.

This year is going to be incredible, I get the same chills down my spine I got when gaga first came onto the scene. and I feel the music will truly reflect that, our girl has really grown and blossomed into a new creature. And she's going to shine her star so bright this year and the target will be bigger. but I will not take negativity this year I will not except it because we've come too far to go back.

This is the most exciting time to be a monster. And I don't event care if the album comes out tom, 3 months form now or later this year. The grammy, Oscars are coming up and the fact we are going to get more surprises makes my hot rods rumble with joy. It feels great and I hope no matter what we will all stick together and really try to get Gaga's message out packaged with compassion and love. Lady Gaga deserves it and so do we!

Okay, we need to get this clear - we as Little Monsters are still a despicable fanbase.

Gaga has done all of this on her own; with endless of fans badmouthing her, demanding her, demanding her, leaving her.

Like sure, many of us are still here after every other base turned their backs against us, but its unfair to try to make Gaga's renaissance about us. But.....

"This is Gaga's year!"

Yes! Onward, Little Monster! Stream ha! Loop ha! Retweet ha! :applause:

This is a great year for us, yes, but it's not a reason for you not to read the rules and guidelines of this site.

Edit: oh, it's now moved to Gaga thoughts section. Cool.

I agree! Shame on the monsters who didn't like cheek to cheek or even realize from the start how important it was gonna be.

"Shame on the monsters who didn't like cheek to cheek" Really? I admit that I only listen to one song from the record, but I don't enjoy jazz standards. I respect the record and it's brilliantly done, but why shame the fans, who are a pop singer's fans, for not liking it? I don't think it's fair to say shame to those fans who don't enjoy c2c.

I completely agree with your message. Though, I guess we all had different experiences. During ARTPOP I stopped reading reviews or anything the media and the critics had to say, for that matter. And when I did, I never took anything seriously. It was too predictable, the whole thing just seemed like a plot, the obvious reaction. I've seen it happen too many times before to every single artists who has the curse and blessing of being in the spotlight . As cliche and played out as this quote is, it perfectly epitomizes the behaviour of media outlets toward celebrities: "The bigger the star, the bigger the target" - Michael Jackson.

Add to this, the fact that Lady Gaga had a massive momentum and reached such an impressive climax within a couple of years and the polarizing reactions her artistry has caused, in general; and the 2013 "drama" comes as no surprise. I never read too much into it. I enjoyed the music and I enjoyed so many of her looks and performances. I guess her team realized that and knew there was no point in swimming against the current of pathetic media and the false idea it had already inculcated to control people's mindset toward the album, toward the era; a futile investment. I guess they just decided to wrap it up at that point.

Nevertheless, it was an amazing era for me. And it's only gotten more and more interesting ever since. I'm personally just glad that she seems to be in such a happy place. It's encouraging and makes me very excited about the risks she might be willing to take for her next album.

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

Oh gosh, the OP is such a mess. The dramatic tone makes it seem like a scene from Game of Thrones. Gaga and ha people against the rest. :saladga:

To be honest, as a late-comer to the LM community (during ARTPOP), I'm with very mixed feelings about the whole thing. There are many lies about "us" as Gaga fans. Many of them come straight for Gaga speaking about fans and many of you have directly adopted it as the one and only truth. I admit that LM are the outcasts, a big majority is in the LGBT spectrum, so you can expect a Monster to be eccentric, interesting and very far from standard/"normal". But I can't agree that LMs are all peaceful and goodwilling. Maybe the community was until 2013. Many reasons for the change - mainly Gaga was on top no matter what prior to 2013. But when things turned upside down, we've showed quite the hate. So much for playing the role of the victims with their saviour... And then things got worse cause other fanbases for the first time had an argument to ridicule and attack us. I imagine most LMs have that superior feeling, and I'm sure many put it in the other fans' faces. I mean, c'mon Little Monsters are one and only after that every popstar's fanbase was given a cringey title as well. :awkney: I agree that ARTPOP and, also I add Cheek to Cheek, cleared a lot of the scum lurking in the fanbase just for the success, which is always good.

One big plus from joining Gaga at her "worst" a.k.a. ARTPOP is that first of all, it was actually enjoyable and really fun, exciting, just rather short. Without the expectations and excess of details, it was really a wild ride and joy to watch her appearances, visuals, listen to the music and even the hundreds of broken promises, that seemed unlikely even when she announced them, had a certain kind of charm.  And from there it has got more and more interesting and better so what a time to be a Gaga stan. Let's enjoy our Queen returning to collect her crown in 2016.

you don't have to like it...? (even tho everyone should listen to more Jazz) I'm not coming for you LOL I don't even know you.  I just could NOT at the fans who kept complaining because it wasn't a pop album.  If she released a pop album it would have TANKED... making it even worse for Gaga fans and Gaga herself.  Obviously that's what I meant.

Well that's not how it came across to two other users and myself. All your comment said was shame on monsters who don't like c2c. And I don't like c2c so of course I took offense. But I understand what you mean now and agree, the Jazz record did her wonders in regards to her reputation.
