"The comeback is coming along nicely, and Lady Gaga has kicked off a year in which we are all rooting for her again."

It felt soooo good to read this.

Omg ikr :air: That last paragraph was stunning.

Basically this article is obligatory literature for everyone who thinks Gaga needs to hurry the **** up with her album before she's finally over. Look at this girl, no album and obviously the most talked about and most respected pop artist of the year.

"No one thought that Gaga was going to show up to the Golden Globes while being carried in a giant egg, as she had done at the 2011 GRAMMY Awards, or dressed as a male alter-ego, as she had done at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards. Lady Gaga’s Golden Globes look was as far removed from the paint-vomiting pop star of the 2014 South By Southwest festival as humanly possible. If anything, it was predictable that Gaga wasn’t going to be wearing or doing anything outlandish at the Golden Globes, because she’s spent two years scrubbing away the image of herself that left casual fans more or less exhausted by the beginning of 2014."

@Ronlop

Lol, I had the exact same thought. This article sums up nicely everything you have been saying in the other thread!

But...but...but... "No one is noticing Gaga, she is absent from all pop culture mentions and attention".

I like most of the article, but...

"After years of going against the grain, Gaga needed a detour into normalcy."

I can only imagine part of Gaga's soul screaming in rage, wanting to burst out into creative chaos and rebellion again :emma:. It'll be interesting to see how much of this "normalcy" will end up in the LG5 era.

This. I was one of those rooting for a Feb lead single's release. But now seeing how smoothly things are going, I think it would be healthy (even healthier) for her to take her time and release in Q3/4.

Who gives a flying **** about competition. If the music is good enough she'll find success no matter who she'll be "against".

Ready for "but these are irrelevant seniors".

I mean, honestly, if the LG5 era is only as "bad" and "unimpactful" as 2014/15 I think this fanbase and this forum will be a pretty cheerful place :rip: We haven't enjoyed this steady acclaim since 2009, so bring it on.

Loved this article! It's refreshing an article that doesn't drag ARTPOP.

I'm really happy for her! The attention she got is undeniable!

The fact that they're mentioning this is further proving that they're still thinking about it and what she's going to wear although it is "predictable". You don't see articles about whether Katy Perry would arrive wearing her purple wig she wore in one music video. They're still talking about Gaga changing her image for two years now :rip: When they'll start writing articles without mentioning the egg or paint-vomiting incident, tell me.

That is literally the dumbest thing I ever read here. And that's saying something.

Even if she's "safe" right now. Q3/Q4 is always the busiest music time. Better release it before and keep on using singles at this time.

Doncho

I loved every part except when they said the GG arent a "major" awards show. They are not a part of the EGOT but they are pretty important I think

Well if she's getting this much of good attention she can beat out all the others in Q3 or Q4:stalkga:

It sure feels good to read something like this. So much positivity, it was almost cute. Great piece, it was on point and very well written. Hope she feels a bit more secure.

"The Golden Globes win feels like the start of something special. Where Gaga has been, and why it’s great not knowing where she’ll go next.

“I wanted to be an actress before I wanted to be a singer,” Lady Gaga declared on Sunday night (Jan. 10). “But music…worked out first.”

A tearful Gaga was onstage at the 2016 Golden Globes when she uttered these words, wearing a simple black dress and sporting an old-school glam look. She was elegant and graceful, a modern-day Marilyn Monroe, with no frills to detract from her beauty. The most surprising aspect of the muted styling: how expected it was.
