Here's what I understood and in no way do I claim I got it right. But still, it's better to share and discuss. Artist Nation - Gaga's management with Bobby Campbell. It is a division of Live Nation. Live Nation - producer and promoter of Monster Ball, Born This Way Ball, artRAVE ARTPOP ball, and probably future tours as well. Interscope - Gaga's record label. this CAA thing - I don't think it changes any of the above. I assume it means Gaga will have a new agent working for her, looking for new career opportunities/offers, new projects in music, tv, film, whatever, negotiating the deals, etc. That's how I understand it. Something I still don't understand is the tv show appearances and all the promo during the release of a new album + the radio relations. I know Interscope handles all things related to the album. Provides the money for release + promo, but maybe the management schedules the promo? @ViviLittleM any ideas? So this is basically an aditional agency, like, it's not like she replaced something with this, right?

I think Gaga has worked very well on making the business side and the art side of things better than everything she had during ARTPOP. The only question mark for me remains Interscope. But we will truly know whether they share a true genuine relation after her current contract expires - whether she signs up with them again or departs and goes to another one. We know that they were the ones to pick her after Def Jam dropped her (I wonder how the managers there felt in 2009/2010?) and they give her the horse now. We have proof that things are good. She has never pointed her finger at them and put the blame on the label. As a matter of fact she kind of deffended them at SXSW. But still I'm unconvinced. I think they had too much to say in ARTPOP's final direction (the one we got after all) so there's sth fishy. Time will tell.

I would personally hate for Gaga to have the same career path as Lana! Small tours (mostly in the US lately), hour long sets, no tours, no performances on tv shows or award shows, no side projects and tours like C2C, no acting roles, hardly any interviews, no charity projects, no tv specials, no performances on televised tribute concerts, no Grammy performance, no Oscar performance.... It's easier to put out an album every year, when you don't do anything else but get high and hang out with whatever boyfriend you are letting consume your life at the time. I was going to point this out but didn't want to sound mean building a daydream

No, I don't think she replaced anything from Live Nation/Artist Nation/Interscope. This is related to the search of new offers in all spheres. So if she wants to star in a TV show again, she has the agency to look for some good opportunities, or appear in an event to give a speech. Maybe she chaged it cause now with AHS and the Golden Globe she has a better chance at being asked to star in another shows, films, etc. and I assume CAA has a better reputation at negotiating good deals for their clients. Chelseaaaaaa 1,453
Gaga isn't leaving music but I do think her drive to be a dominating pop star has lessened. It seems like her first love, acting, is way prominent. I actually wonder if she'd be releasing LG5 this year if she weren't obligated to contractually. I doubt very seriously that there is a time limit of three years between albums on an artist at Gaga's level. Time limits are somewhat suggested in contracts, but lead way is given to artists that have the touring power that Gaga has. Don't forget that she just sold another million plus albums and had another tour just last year. Interscope is very happy with Gaga right now!
