Sid 6,755
Would you rather see Gaga wearing outfits that visually follow one theme, as she did with BTW, often wearing dark, leather and metallic clothing, etc. (I know she definitely did wear plenty of other styles as well, but the era as a whole was more cohesive than ARTPOP) Or would you prefer her to not constrain herself to one "look" and embrace many different influences and fashion as she did throughout ARTPOP? ...ıllıllı c h e r r y c h e r r y b o o m b o o m ıllıllı... The Child 18,997
I'd like her to stick to one mini era for each single, she achieved to stick to that with Applause & G.U.Y. ‘If religion be the cause of disunity, then irreligion is surely to be preferred.’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá
andy232000 9,870
I'm in love with 90% of the born this way ball outfits. But I don't mind with the art pop looks. I like those as well

Iwontell 7,312
I understand that with ARTPOP she tried to show other people's work, so it was less cohesive, but prefer when she creates a strong visual identity to the album and sticks to it...otherwise it ends up feeling like she doesn't really know where she's going, like she's a bit lost...Cheek to Cheek was very cohesive, for example, it really felt like she had a grip on everything that was going on. ATTENTION: (bad) jokes and sarcasm are still a thing, so don't take everything I say literally. Thank you.
monstereo 1,232
YES I want a strong visual era. I'm not here for this 'look completely different every time I step out' thing. It makes things confusing, and the iconography is lost.

Mmhm, I think that in 2016 it's not shocking or surprising for anyone to step out wearing something "over the top". I hope she sticks with a strong theme, that seems to be her key to pulling off a successful era. ...ıllıllı c h e r r y c h e r r y b o o m b o o m ıllıllı... hater 32
If she wants the album to have a strong theme and iconography, its essential. Especially for the general public, who may not know she has music coming out, but if she looks a certain way, they know something is happening. It also elevates the artist to an icon status. If that is what she is going for, I think she needs to have a cohesive look for the album or single eras. I remember when Gaga said she hated that female singers had a pressure to reinvent themselves into "eras" for each album, which makes me sad because that is my favorite part of following her; to be surprised by the unlimited reinventions and visuals and equate them to chapters in her life/ music career. I feel like the reason she might have said this is because she was trying to defend the ARTPOP's era, where the theme was literally the absence of theme, chaos over cohesion. While it worked in some ways, I do not want this to be the case again, for I feel that it is one of the many reasons that the general public could not grasp the album/concept of ARTPOP and therefore did not buy into it/ devote time to understanding its hidden themes. Reality 71,771
Personally, I'd want a strong, cohesive look for LG5. One reason I loved Born This Way so much was because of all the leather, metal, and just overall darkness of the look. I do think that this is going to be a more sophisticated Gaga though. Even though she's stated that there will be more "Gaga" than "Lady" in this next album, I like the combination of both in her looks. I'd like to see the return of the leather and overall darkness that Born This Way had, but I'd also want a more sophisticated Gaga. However, not just sophisticated, but with a new, and unique twist. I mean, it's Lady Gaga after all. 𝕀𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕒 𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕣, 𝕀 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕖

God Control 2,181
Yes. I very much want the next era to have a defined aesthetic and a cohesive type of tracks, some clear flow in the mood of the tracks and a unified set of subjects and looks. Of course, they have to be something interesting, because I wouldn't care much for a cohesively bad era. But I don't want an album that sounds like a compilation album, with no define aesthetic, vision, direction or even genre.
