I don't mind Til It Happens To You losing these awards but what is bad is, every award show before the Academy Awards influences the decision on who the winner is going to be at the Oscars. AnglerfishbraBENUS 5,734
See You Again was just more popular.. but Gaga has been promoting TIHTY on the DL for private events. I get that these other awards are indicators of who will win, but part of me thinks they just aren't giving Gaga a chance. I mean it's not just Gaga... It's Diane Warren. shane_c 480
This may not be very predictive of the Oscars because this isnt Hollywood voters, Its critics. Hollywood is liberal, and they are more likely to vote for TIHTY because of the politics of the song.
DrewStevens 5,249
I doubt this will affect her chances to win the Oscar. Many songs have won the Oscar without having won other awards just like many actors have got the Oscar without winning the Golden Globe (for example Leo DiCaprio). She seems to be in very good terms with the Academy so I think that relationship is going to help her a lot.
Lumi 3,512
This doesn't mean much. Glory won the Oscars last year but somehow Everything is awesome won the Denver Film Critics Society (mentioned in the OP), Houston Film Critics Society, Phoenix Film Critics Society Awards 2014 among others. It'll be a long journey but I'm pretty sure TIHTY is getting it, Gaga and Diane have been doing private events so the critics know the song. underneath the pine

What kind of flop I disagree. I think the song is actually very good and reliable. It was also nice to see a mainstream rapper talk about something heartfelt and it get popular.
