Maybe not for you but everybody mourns differently. Celebrating a great legacy isn't any better or worse then coping with the emptiness and pain in silence.

If not news what other topic would this be? Is there a deaths section?

In Gaga Thoughts or Conversation Area most likely. A news thread would be the thread announcing something like this. It is news but this thread isn't presenting the news.

Discussing his life and celebrating his influences is his legacy. How could you put a timeframe on that? As a huge fan of his, I think we all mourn in different ways. I choose to celebrate and discuss his legacy. You don't have to read or comment on this post if you don't agree.

David Bowie IS Lady GaGa. Everything we have as a fanbase we owe to him. The outfits, the acting, the eclectic nature of her music, the LGBT support/visibility/controversy/activism/whateveryouwannacallit, the constant reinvention. Everything.

We lost not only one of the most important artists of all time but also a part of our lady.

Since when was David Bowie a LGBT activist? He might have brought visibility to the LGBT cause through his mannerisms and imagery, but he was never really an activist. Didn't he even admit that he faked being bisexual because it brought him publicity and controversy?

And with no disrespect to Bowie, I think Gaga's career would have been perfectly fine without him (well without the fact that she wouldn't be able to use the thunderbolt sign).

Madonna on the other hand...

"visibility" "whatever you wanna call it" Point is he did a lot for us and that no doubt influenced GaGa's choice to do the same much like he influenced every step of her career.

I feel.the same about his death, so audden.

He was just releasing his new (and turns out to be last album.)

Bowie may have inapired so many peoole, pop stars and tick stars alike.

There will be no shock rocker or pop star without him tbh.

There will be no Marilyn Manson and Gaga without Bowie's Ziggy Stardust.

And his music, oh his music, have inspired so many stars of todays.

I hope he is happier now, fxck cancer tbh.

Rest In Peace ???

Moved to Gaga thoughts.

Inspiration is like a torch that passes on from one oracle of art to the next. Many artists have inspired Lady Gaga, and David Bowie was a big part of that. Without any chickens to lay eggs, there is no egg. (Or should I say vessel?)

Do your own research.
