It's really strange because before today I had only ever seen him in his movie Labyrinth and didn't really know him or his music. Earlier today I decided to look him up on a whim and read all about him. I watched his music video for "Blackstar" and read that the director said he may have been contemplating his own mortality in it. I may not have known much of his work, but what I did know I really enjoyed, and I was impressed he was still putting out new work and looking forward to more.
