Wow I really thought She Wolf, Waka Waka and Loca were hits honestly.

You forgot Rabiosa though.

Oh my gosh. What's wrong with the US? I mean sorry but from her performance in the US you can't really get an idea of what she is capable of and who she is - one of the most important names in music of the generation. I'm glad Europe stans hard for her. The first song I heard from her was Whenever, whenever. And that was in the 1st grade in 2001/2002.  And I still love her to this date. So many hits... Objection, La Tortura, Hips Don't Lie, She Wolf, Waka Waka, Did it Again, Gypsy, Give it up to me, Loca, Rabiosa, Empire, Dare (La La La), and on and on...

She's very much like Kylie Minogue in the US. It's too bad.

I can't believe it either. In my country Shakira returned stronger than ever in 2009-2011. She wolf wasn't successful, but Gypsy and especially Give it up to me were huge. Then came Waka Waka and Loca, EVERYBODY knows these songs, and Rabiosa enjoyed the success as well riding on previous singles' hype. Now during her last album 2 years ago I think only Dare was big, but still I'm sure Shakira is still very well remebered and repsected. :flutter:

Billboard is nothing compared to the success she had here in Latin America, especially with her first two albums, which are not even in the ones you posted. "¿Dónde Están Los Ladrones?" really made Shakira explode all over here, but yeah, La Tortura and Hips Don't Lie were also good singles.

I guess Shakira's more of an album artist in the US...

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
