Even if it meant chasing gay men, why would that be a reason to ban it from radio?

But I'm only a man and I do what I can.

Even if that 100% is the song's real meaning it doesn't make it controversial. How is chasing after a gay man such a controversial topic that it can't be played on the radio?

I'm guessing the only stations that banned the songs were smaller-scale ones that people don't really know about anyways.

I remember when Rolling In The Deep got censored. Because she said "I'll lay your s**t bare." It was changed to "I'll lay your ship bare." Which still makes sense. The censor must have come into effect so quickly (or maybe there were always two versions prepared?) because the version I always heard said "ship." But then I saw a topic online entitled something like "I wish Adele wouldn't swear in her songs." Entraced, I clicked on it and this person was saying that they didn't approve of her swearing in ROTD and that she didn't need to do it. That's when i found out that the word had actually been censored. And i wonder...how many other people are unaware of this too? It just shows you that no one get away with any kind of swearing in music now, not even someone like Adele.

The only controversy surrounding Adele right now is why "Send My Love (To Your New Lover)" isn't blowing up all over the world on radio right this very moment.

She's literally the least controversial singer of our time. If she's controversial, I wonder what Gaga's like...

No. She's the safest artist of our time. That doesn't mean I don't like her but she's pretty inoffensive regardless. Taylor Swift causes more controversy than her and I believe Swifty is the GP's darling. Sooooo.

RAMROD

Controversial is something she isn't

She is as friendly as she can get to general public out there.

Her image are down to Earth. And she distance herself from scandals and media in general.

Her music and lyrics are super relatable and contagius.

People will sing it even if they hate it.
