"I want the fans to be surprised," Gaga told Yahoo in late December. "But I will just tell you that it's a wonderful, soul-searching experience. … This record is like – my old self as a cadaver. And I'm just, I'm operating on my old self." Among the forensic investigation: Possibly returning to the studio with RedOne, if a studio selfie with the "Poker Face"/"Bad Romance" producer is any indication. "We took a little break from each other and now it feels like we are in a good place, both of us. She did her thing, I did my thing, and it feels like we're back on track together," RedOne said to The National. Going back to Stefani as we remember playing the piano at clubs (not electronic music at all) 2. Going indeed back to more pop electronic songs (as many fans here believe) I mean I want to believe in 2. but to me the fact that she's working with RedOne doesn't say anything about what musical genre she's gonna go for. He's know for being the producer behind many of her hits but knowing what she's been into in 2015 it could be more classical oriented songs... just produced by RedOne. At the same time I don't get it if she's going back to nr 2. bc she indeed deliver electronic music on ARTPOP anyway. She shouldn't "go back" to anything. She needs to go forward, explore new stuff. I'm not saying she needs to invent a new music direction, of course I want popGa, but she should really combine all the new thing she's experienced in the last two years, maybe a little rock and roll influence. Bc how I analyze it the other way around is her saying that "I'm back to the drive that I had before 2012" but don't know :P So basically saying she's doing whatever genre but with the passion and drive she had before. I love to see it because it shows her piano skills and raw voice, but many fans here will not be here for it. I really want to see again that crazy drive she had during TFM and BTW era, she was on fire like every performance and every day and fashion and promotion, just everything.
