A town often becomes a ghost town because the economic activity that supported it has failed, or due to natural or human-caused disasters such as floods, government actions, uncontrolled lawlessness, war, or nuclear disasters. MY IDEA: I think the next season, or the season after that, will focus on gold rush ghost towns in and around the great plains and California. I got the idea after seeing all the AHS members on set for the V magazine shoot. These towns were built up during gold rushes and other economical peeks, but when the gold or oil drew up, the towns died. It'd be a cool scene to follow a family following the struggles of traveling to the west during this time period. Maybe they get lost/ill and they take up shop in a lovely little town. After a lot of crazy **** goes down, supernatural AHS type stuff, they finally (after like 11 episodes) lol, say they'll leave! But when they wake up in the morning, the town is ragged and desserted! Like a ghost world; however, these "ghosts" who live in the dimension don't know they are dead, and are still going about their everyday lives like the town is alive... And the other dimension being tourists, teenagers, lost people, etc. But, sometimes these dimensions can overlap, causing the real world people to fall into the other dimension. And maybe since our eyes aren't capable of seeing these dimensions... Everything gets mad and distorted when crossing? I don't know. Just a thought. Hotel is imo at least 10 times more frightning than Freak Show...(although they are not scary ), but it's more brutal. Freak Show it's very artsy (i love it anyway).
