Where Is Jessica Simpson's New Album

So Jessica Simpson had stated in September of 2015 (around the same time she was drunk on HSN) that she's got a new album on the way. So its January 2016, and I'm just wondering where that album is. Anyone know anything about it? She hasn't have a non Christmas album since's 2008's Do You Know and that was a country album. Her last pop album was 2006's A Public Affair. I really like Jessica, I think she's sweet and wanna see what bops she can put out in the 2010's. She also has a reeealllly good voice.

Edit: I just read this in her net worth bio:

She is getting big money from her own fashion brand, don't think she'd really want to return to showbiz anymore.

She took a lot of heat for her Country album, then she had some television shows going, but that's the last I heard about her doing anything in entertainment. She may be scared that another pop album won't do well (Public Affair was not a critically well received album, even it's hit single was called a Madonna knock off). She's been gone so long, she may be worried there isn't even enough interest or that she can even put out enough good material to make all the touring and promo worth it. Besides, she has so much money pouring in from her cosmetic and clothing lines, she certainly isn't hurting for cash. She probably wants to concentrate on that and her family at this point.

The 35-year-old entertainer shared with Today show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie that the home studio she's been building in her basement is about done, and she plans to start recording again.

Simpson admitted that not even her husband, Eric Johnson, knows that side of her. "I recorded a Christmas album with him, but he has never really seen me onstage, and do my thing that actually got me here," she said.

As for whether we can expect Simpson to tour and record a new album, she declared, "Absolutely!"

"That's how I started, and that's one of my biggest passions in the world," she told Guthrie. "I love to use my voice."

I didn't know this. I'm glad she still has a passion for it. Hopefully it all comes together for her.
