I don't know why, but this line always gets me. I think it just makes me so happy for her that after all she went through with Luc, and the way he treated her so badly, she was finally able to find such a kind person to spend her life with. I think I relate to the line too. The thing I love most about my boyfriend is how good he is to his family, especially his mom.

This song really touches me. It depicts the life of a feminist trapped in an attractive, privileged girl. It's a struggle. She wants to be indepedeant, to be brave, to be driven and determined. But men see her as an artifact, a sexy keychain. They buy her things, take her on cruises, give her spa days.... She can't evade this. She lives it. It's like she's trapped in this content battle of pls buy me eggs vs. let me buy my own damn eggs. 

It's also commentary on the unhealthy lifestyle of vegans. Eggs must be bought, or grown at your own discretion in a farm/home/etc - its a decision. Support yourself, or support your economy as a whole? As a vegan, you're doing neither. Not only will you before 40 due to protein synthesis inability - you're being selfish to your government. Not to mention you cant shut up about being vegan.

This is why these lyrics make me deeply sad.
