Sometimes we aren't going to all like the same things. Sorry?

Do you know how to read....? The title in of itself clearly states that, I am not referring to liking the same things as everyone else. You don't have to like someone to respect their work.

I said that I don't see it now. can you read my comment better please? I liked her when she was real and personal, not now that she's a pre-fabricated popstar ruled by a record company.

Agh, ok, well she still writes her own music and songs, so I don't see your point, I guess. And to be perfectly honest, she's one of the only popstars that has complete control over her career. She wanted to release a pop album, and she did. Most artists would have been blackballed for years (Jojo, for example) if they decided to not follow with what the label wanted.

Ok, I tried to explain my point of view but I see that it doesn't matter so I just don't like her, that's it

Pop culture trends come and go. It's just Taylor's time to step down for the moment. She is at the end of her era, after all, this is what's supposed to happen. Adele would make anyone's achievements look unimpressive in comparison. It's just the way things work.

Yes, I realise that Taylor is very involved in her music, as much as Gaga is, but the reason why I can never truly respect her is because...she's simply not that good. Writing your own material is only really worth it if it's good. But she's so bland and her lyrics have mostly all been said before. She doesn't write like a full grown woman, but like an overgrown teenager. Plus, she's totally sold out. If she made more stuff like her debut, she could have been better. She showed potential back then but sold herself short as she got older. And I certainly don't have much respect for artists who stop making good stuff in order to sell. She also has the most overwhelming arrogance (especially regarding the copyrights and thinking "stealing" backing dancers is worth a diss song) and it's like, why hasn't this filtered down to the public? How can they like someone who is blatantly a Regina George in sheep's clothing? How is she seen as so perfect and a woman of the year and all that? Don't people know a snake in the grass when they see it? When you hear that theory: "the celebrities you think are going to be nice turn out to be nasty?" Taylor Swift is totally in that group. Gaga is so much more talented and a genuinely nice person too. The two aren't even comparable.

The Child

It's not that I hate her it's just that she bores me to death, nothing she does seems spontaneous, everything seems so calculated.

There seems to be an overwhelming amount of "Tayting" aka "Taylor Hating"

That's my term, tho.

The genesis. :yay:

My recent usage of the variant "Tayting." ;)

OT: There's always gotta be an It Girl when it comes to hating. Right now, Taylor's the It Girl. Hating has been one of humankind's most beloved activities, and some people feed off of the negativity they exude because they can't cope with the issues in their own lives. Blocking her out takes too much effort for some people, so they choose the easy way out by running their mouths every chance they get. As some have already mentioned, Tayters will probably move on to the next It Girl (of the hating world), unless they have something personal against her (like many KatyCats).

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.

Mmm... I don't really like her, but I respect her as an artist.

I think she's very hands on in her work, and there are some songs that I like from her.
