Ask his female fans ages 13-16 (or male, whatever) they just simply don't care what he does. His fandom is literally one of the most loyal I've ever seen and most forgiving cause it's Bieber, they're here for his music, body/face only and that's it. This whole year in music has been boring, because if you ask me, everyone is trying too hard. Trying too hard to have some sort of meaning to music, and think it has to be 'artistic' 'creative' and 'edgy.' I don't know about you, but I'm craving fun pop music by Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, (I don't even like her but...) even Katy. I'm tired of hearing Halsey, Melanie Martinez, Sia, etc. depressing types of music all the time everywhere I go. I'm just totally ready for fresh, fun pop music. Gaga won't have Adele type of success and perhaps not even 1989's level of success but if Gaga isn't able to gain commercial success as big as Purpose with LG5 then there's something horribly gone with the world to be routing for Bieber after everything he's done instead of Gaga and everything she's done to music full stop. Um, the album ain't that big toots! A little bit of success initially selling a few hundred thousand doesn't mean it's a success. As I always say, we all need to stop equating sales numbers with success. And the number of albums Bieber sells doesn't change the fact he can't perform, his live performances are trash and nothing but lip syncing and specifically chosen songs that are easy to sing to to feign he can actually sing. Bieber is just someone everyone loves to hate, he doesn't bring anything to the world of music in a culturally significant way, he's just pop culture fodder nothing more. LG5 will be blessed or damned by critics. We as fans will give her 200k sales at least, but the rest is up to whether or not the GP is swayed or inclined enough to give it a chance..
