deeman 189
Don't know isn't gaga number 1 already? Woman of the year in music and only one song released. I really don't know I only listened to one song anyway the one about something happening to you. Not sure I think it might have happened to me I certainly went thru some pretty weird time. Mister Gaga 22,886
I don't think that the problem is about being "to big" or #1. It's all about good management. For example Katy (despite she was never as big as Adele/Gaga/Taylor) always had enormous hits and never got overexposed, because she knew when to stop. Gaga, during 2009/10/11, promoted 3 albums, without breaks. That's why the decline was so hard. Thanks god, now she has Bobby

AlexanderLevi2 5,849
The more success she gets the longer, bigger and better the era will be. I can get over the fact that people don't like her... It's just their opinions. Plus, is there actual hard evidence that shows people get backlash?? Or is it just your observation? Cause people who are "over" Adele sure seem to want to see her whether she is overplayed or not. Same goes for Taylor, her tour was beyond successful. So your logic is more just your opinion. deeman 189
Come on guys all these charts is just darwinian theory it has been debunked. It is like football you can trace it to china and it was a military training excercise. It is time to grow up there is no competition all artist would like eachother to do well as possible it's not as if we are like babies or something. Even babies wouldn't be so dumn. There are great artist that hardly anyone has even heard of I saw one in a teepee one time it was so amazing the song she was singing and I got the impression she was very secretive but maybe when the conditions are better people like her will come on the mainstream. It is going to be so good that word doesn't even do it justice i just can't find the words right now.
wahkeenasitka 1,995
4 hours ago, Haroon said: Oh I know, and that's totally fine if it's better for you For me it's better if she's everywhere because there's more of a chance that I get to hear her on the radio or see her when I flick through the TV channels - there's nothing more boring than constantly flicking through stations/channels to find someone you enjoy the real question is: why does Anyone listen to the radio or watch TV. I do neither, and I have absolutely no need to (or desire to) and my interest in Gaga is untouched by her presence on either the radio or TV.

I'm interested in Gaga whether she's on radio/TV or not It's just if she's on radio/TV then I'm likely to encounter her more which is always a plus for me People listen to the radio because it introduces them to new music that's flying around, and people watch music channels because it shows different charts and lets you see which music's blowing up or climbing or generally what's going on in the music scene. They show the videos so it's nice to see the visuals with the music together
deeman 189
That Adele song hello is another one with the country/ city contrast in the video. I heard it on the radio but just checked the video. Something major has changed for that to be popular and getting exposure.
JEREMY 213
Don't find anything agreeable. Everyone wants his idol to be on top. Also, her effort deserves the commercial success. And imo, Taylor gets more hate because of the media. When she steps into pop industry, write a song abt her frenemy,... anything she says or does can become the views-chasing headlines. The media only write abt ones bringing them the profits.

Bradley 59,017
Only a minority of fans think number one artists are overplayed. There are a lot of casual fans out there who dont think Taylor/Adele are overplayed. I think it would be nice if Gaga reaches as many people as she could, it's certainly unwise to sacrifice that many potential listeners just for the sake of a tiny bit of fans who might think her songs are overplayed. Music is meant to be shared and we need someone talented like Lady Gaga to reign. Actually I don't think Gaga will pull bad numbers as long as she promotes her singles. Ronk 14,762
I'm not sure any artist had been the "it" girl twice (huge number of awards, charts, magazine covers, talk shows, special performances, etc, all in just a few years). The history of "it" girls would be an interesting study, but would take a lot of work. I think Madonna in 1985-1987 and Britney Spears 1999-2000 would be a start. I live outside the space time continuum.
