DiscoHeaven23 35,007
Here's the weekly performances of Gwen Stefan's singles in the US. -Wow to the reign of "The Sweet Escape" -"Hollaback Girl" would've been #1 more weeks if "We Belong Together" (the top song of the decade) didn't block it. -In the beginning it looked like a solo career was not going to work out for Gwen in the US. "Rich Girl" really saved the career. -"Wind It Up" was a bad choice for a lead single. -"Cool" and "4 In the Morning" should've reigned more. Same with "Crash" -Even though "Used to Love You" hasn't peaked higher than "Baby Don't Lie", its overall performance is better and should continue to do good cuz its being played on the radio a lot more this week. -44 weeks in the Top 10 total UPDATED: April 12, 2016 LOVE. Mister Gaga 22,034
What You Waiting For peaked at 47? R&B gem Luxurious peaked at 21? Tyrannosaurus mess. 2004's songs that sound incredibly fresh now a days, they should have gone, at least, Top 10. Hollaback Girl The Sweet Escape charting for 40 weeks I still have faith in you, Gwen! Look at your watch now; you're still a super hot female! You got your million dollar contract, and we're all waiting for your hot track!
AlexanderLevi2 5,849
I feel like What you waiting for? Charted higher but I didn't understand all of this in middle school. I feel like everyone I know knows that song. Currently listening to Joanne

It charted okay on Mainstream Top 40 radio, so people probably know it well because they heard it on there.

The video is the best part YAY!!!! lol I just wanted to make sure lol because I've noticed that whenever "Wind it Up" is mentioned, it has the same treatment that "Jewels N' Drugs" has, which is kind of unfortunate. (I love both songs in different ways lol). I do agree that it's not first single material, too. "The Sweet Escape" would have been a better idea, even though "Wind it up" in my #1 list lol. What do you think should've been the singles order? I think based on timing of release dates it should've been 1) The Sweet Escape (lead singles gotta be powerful) 2) 4 In The Morning (It would've been released in winter [about late January], winter is usually slow songs) 3) Yummy (Starting to get warmer, fun songs are good) 4) Wind It Up (fun mid summer release) 5) Early Winter (would be released in late October, how perfect) 6) Wonderful Life

skaxboy 4,405
I felt she performed WYWF a lot. I'm surprised it didn't chart well. I know that Used to love you is considered the lead single for GS3 but I am really hoping for a huge bop for her when her album comes out. I have such a high expectan for Gwen especially since there was never supposed to be another solo era.
