I've always known about Gaga. I remember obsessively listening to Bad Romance when it first came out, but I never actually took the time to find out more about her. Years passed by and Gaga was still irrelevant to me. But then I saw the ARTPOP film in my YouTube recommendations list, just a few days after its release. The thumbnail looked interesting so I decided to watch it and instantly fell in love. The picture below describes me after listening to the whole album.

I pretended to hate her for a while. But I low key stanned. But then one day a friend of mine sent me this photo of her. And I just gave up, and let the light in. Idk why tho..

When I was in Summer school my friend Leidi showed me a video of some "weird singer" that has her name. That video was "Beautiful, Dirty, Rich". I loved the song, and became more fascinated and binge watched all her interviews/videos/unreleased content. This was before Gaga released the "Paparazzi" music video.

The acoustic performances, the interviews..

Then I slowly started listening to her albums and I started to appreciate them too. It made me a lot more open-minded actually..

They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.

The Paparazzi performance on MTV

Though I was OBSESSEDLY bopping to Just Dance already :flutter: I literally like memorized the entire music video :rip:

I have loved her since The Fame, but when I went to the Monster Ball (expecting nothing other than a good show) her speech made me cry because I was going through some sh*t with my peers, you know? Bullying. Anyway, that moment alone makes me never want to not stan for her.

I stumbled across some videos of her performing just as Just Dance was in the making, thought "hey, she's pretty cool" and I followed her on Twitter and she followed me back :rip: I was a fan since then but it wasn't until the Bad Romance demo leaked that I became a full out stan and was crazy about her! It was also what made me join GGD so I could download it :air:

I was SO young at the time she released the fame. I remember loving the concept behind her music, her songs were both fun and interesting (they used to play poker face on the radio in the morning as I went to school almost every day during that year) I was always fascinated by her crazyness, but I think I fell in love with her when she released the music video for telephone :flutter:

I was just starting to go out drinking with friends and was 20 turning 21 in 2008. I thought Just Dance was the ****. She sold me during her radio station tours where she played the keyboard. I was never a fan of following"pop culture" prior to her, and have never and still never stan for anyone else specifically. When she did Paparazzi and gushed blood, I was locked in for life. I confess, I've followed her every move for all these years now, daily, only slowing as her career highlights do.

Bahaha I was 18 at the time but this is word for word what I experienced.

I haven't followed her daily but she's literally the only pop star I give a damn about.

I have my reasons. Let's just say my life trajectory has been thematically similar to hers.
