Why are the Rebel Heart demos more loved than the album versions. I just don't understand it. Take the Wash All Over Me demo for example. The album version is a beautiful ballad whilst the demo is a generic mess which is normally hated here.

I like the Living For Love and Rebel Heart demos better than the album versions but that's about it.

I love demo version of song Beautiful Scars and i think it's better than album version.
I think Rebel Heart demos are more loved because they sound like music from 90's.I don't know how to explain.
I hope you understand. :)

The album version of Joan of Arc tried to add dance elements to the song to make it more poppy, which really doesn't work. The full on ballad demo version is perfect.

It took me a while but I prefer all of the album versions over the demos in the context of the whole album. They give you a far more cohesive experience.

Some demos are better than the album versions for example:

Illuminati, Rebel Heart & Wash All Over Me demos are LIFE!

But some album versions are better than the demos such as:

S.E.X & Holy Water
