Maybe you're the one who's struggling to read as you seemed to think everyone called DIL a 'smash' and now you seem to think I was talking exclusively about gay clubs. I'm not sure why you seem to be so defensive and angry about Beyonce's success.

I am not. Beyonce was a huge success but that's it. She hasn't had a hit since 2010.

Because she is.

She have successful career spanning 17 years and she didn't do melt down.

At least not in public. She have well kept image to keep her going. Her private life mostly are kept private.

She can sing, still performing world wide and she is open to various genres of music which makes her discography sounds colourful.

She knows the art if fame, she choose when to share it to public and when she does not. She can keep her marriage with Jay and her misscarriage for awhile which is amazing.

And she is cool.

Taylor Swift is the main pop girl. Beyonce doesn't sing pop music. Her music is straight R&B.

Beyonce isn't THE main pop girl, but she is A main pop girl. It ain't just about the songs, it's more of pop culture in general. Everybody know 'I woke up like this', they adore her as a performer and as a woman and everybody knows her songs no matter if they're high up the chart or not. I guess it's more than enough to call her a main pop girl.

But Beyoncé was released 2 years ago? Aw, only the Hivé.
I didn't say it wasn't decent. I was just pointing out that Beyoncé hasn't sold 5M WW.

Anyways, if we're gonna use that logic, only three female albums that were released after ARTPOP were able to outsell it, but I have yet to see a post about how ARTPOP's performance was "far from decent". Well, in the way you put it.

However, Beyoncé outsold those released before it too (ARTPOP, Prism, Bangerz and so on). And years from release date literally don't matter when we see Adele pulling second best selling digital album in US ever in just few weeks (and only behind 21). And I'm not from the hive btw, that's why I don't know the exact numbers

ARTPOP's performance was just decent or really close to it. It's just haters who say otherwise. Can you imagine the media calling 260K debut in US underwhelming now? It's crazy cause nowadays anyone can top the charts with 100K or even less, and this happens in Q4 even

I always see Beyonce get so much praise and acclaim, which is good because she is a fine performer. However, I find it weird when people say she is a main pop girl. Her last hit was 5 years ago with Telephone, not even her own song and she was not the reason for the song's success. Her last album sold 5 million copies which is decent, but not earth-shattering and she also failed to get a hit from the album. So why is she considered a "legend" by some when she doesn't actually see outstanding success? What she is good at is touring, she has successful tours but so do Gaga, and when evaluating her many people don't take her tour grosses into consideration. So what's going on with that?

She is talanted. Also, Drunk in Love peaked at #2. Go listen to some of the songs of DC

It's funny because Bey is RnB not pop but slay i guess, not everyone can be so successful that they're considered in a genre they never sing in :lolga:

Also Self-Titled was literally so iconic, i'm 18 and when it came out (when I was 16 or something) everyone was talking about her, and they still are.

I see her more than a main pop girl. Same with Gagz. I just don't see the otther pop girls as the same level with them. :wtfga:

So Beyoncé is the third best selling female album in three years, right? That's far from decent

But she doesn't have hits?

Have you been living under a rock? Bey is a main pop girl & will go down in history as one of the great entertainers of our time.
