I feel like for the most part, Lana Del Rey's music sounds very boring. She has some good songs every now and then, but most of her music sounds very similar. I understand that not all music needs to be upbeat, in fact, some slow songs and ballads are very powerful and not boring at all. But when you try to listen to a full LDR album, it stars to drag because of the pace of the songs and a very similar style of melodies and singing.

Dear lord this is more flamebaity than saying FF7 is overrated on any gaming site.

Music, like literally, EVERYTHING ELSE, is a matter of taste. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. My brother has like... a bunch of heavy metal and rap, and he has Katy Perry. All her albums. Except for what was released before her Katy Perry days. But everyone is different.

That's it, done, close the thread.

She's not for everybody. I love her music. I can listen to her in any mood that I'm having.

Yes. But I like it. I also love Sigur Ros and they're "boring" too (apart from the occasional 'single' sort of song.) It's a different sort of appeal than the typical.

Well, I am just curious to see what people think of her music. Nothing wrong with that

I do find her music boring, actually. I downloaded her debut album back when everyone here were talking about her. I honestly fell asleep listening to her, then a couple of days later I played her album again, but only really liked "Diet Mountain Dew" and deleted the rest of the album. I haven't been interested in anything else she does or records because I just don't really follow her career. I have just a couple of gay friends, and one of them is a big fan of Lana, so any time he organizes a party at his place, he plays a lot of music, Lana included, and some of his friends also love her, but I just don't get it. I don't really like fans that see their idol as a "Goddess" (Gaga included) or the way some fans talk about Britney and get mad if you don't agree with their opinion. That's kind of the reason I step apart from those groups of people and don't really understand why they enjoy that artist so much.

Eh, no. You may find it boring but remember that music is subjective.

You don't have to like Lana del Rey but her music is far from boring, her voice is mesmerizing and a joy to listen, the instrumentation and melodies of her music are pretty top notch. So no i don't think her music is boring.

It's just going to lead to people on both sides like: "She's Lunesta Del Rey" vs. "You know nothing about her!"

I enjoy her music, but I'm also the type of person who enjoys something just as long as most of the good things outweigh the bad. I'm also used to such songs that are long and mid-tempo.

It depends on the person, like I said. I like vocaloids, others don't. I like Lana Del Rey, others don't. The world would be boring if we were all the same.

she is not for everybody and she is definitely not for me:green:

to me her music has gotten worse and worse with each album which is a shame, Born to die was my jam in 2012 and I still listen to it but after Ultraviolence it just didn't make me feel anything, except shades of cool

My Favs = Lady Gaga, Janet Jackson, Ricky Martin, AKB48

It's not scientifically proven that her music is boring. She just appeals to different people. I'm one of those people.
