I don't think she'll ever shake off this perception that the GP have of her courtesy of BTW and ARTPOP, pretentious, weird, attention seeking etc. To have a mega hit you need more than just the fans buying it on the first day. She was an upcoming star 3. No one had seen a video like that, ever 4. It was different and fresh 5. She pushed the boundaries In my messy era.
