But even Gaga's most basic songs have something interesting an original (a sound, theme, style, ect.) Plus she obviously does have talent.

But they are blueprints from her own ideas. They are not even that similar. Put these songs in the radio and they immediately sound different and very Gaga.

What else can I say? You obviously heard these songs so you know what I am talking about. Gaga creates these songs almost from scratch. To the lyrics, vocals, and even production. Plus she is good at it. Artists like Rihanna, not so much.

I think we need a good balance of both. I think gaga said that because labels look for looks and marketability rather than artistry and talent. But as consumers, we have different tastes. Sometimes I wanna appreciate someone who's really talented and gifted and sometimes I just want to listen to mindless music and have fun

We know for ARTPOP at least that isn't true at all. For most of the tracks she just wrote over existing beats made by her producers.

Even most famous Opera singers in 18th or 19th century (opera was the old pop music) were known to not always to be the best, according to different sources. It's the so called charisma, X-factor and so on. You see, i said they're not the best, but they're achievements and the adoration of the public says otherwise. So, even if they're technique is flawed, they are the best at conveying passion in the audience. Thus it's hard to say they're not the best.

You're not the best because you appeal to most people, but it's quite something to be a mainstream artist. She's very good in her craft.

Absolutely. Most of the people who criticise these types of artists don't understand that any old person couldn't just get up and do what they do, but that's what they seem to imply.

I'd love to see a video of @Enigma performing a song and see if he can pull it off with the same conviction and command as someone like Rihanna, since she's so talentless.
