Spectre Theme Song

  1. 1. Should Lana Del Rey have been chosen as the singer of the 'Spectre' theme song, or was Sam Smith the right choice?

    • Sam Smith, his voice makes me weep.

    • Lana Del Rey, she was born to sing a James Bond theme song

This thread title is stupid clickbait. She never said she was awaiting or expecting it. She just hypothetically said that she would've because she's a fan of Bond music, it's that simple. Nothing from her short statement regarding the issue said she felt entitled to record the song, stop being annoying on purpose.

She would be perfect for the theme. Sam also could've done a good song as he has the voice for it, but he didn't nail it.

What part of her quote said that she was expecting someone to ask her? She was asked about it by the interviewer and said she would take the job if she was ever asked. Look beyond the title for once. Read the facts before you post and make a fool of yourselves.

"According to Lana Del Rey's interview with NME, she was fully awaiting being the chosen one to sing the next James Bond theme song."  :rip:

Sizzily

I liked the lyrics of Writing's on the Wall but I don't like Sam Smith's voice. Lana would have been cool I guess. We'll just have to wait for Bond 25. I wouldn't mind Adele doing more than one like Shirley Bassey.

Also "like a diary entry from Bond". Bye sis.

If it did come from the article she might have indicated it but not quoted. She dont put everything she said directly

I haven't watched the movie. The song didn't invite me, to be quite honest. Pretty and well sung (bit too much falsetto) but didn't give me that luxurious vibe. That strong and sexy and dangerous 007 vibe.

If he could be sexy and fragile at the same time it would be a great song.

Since i love "Young and Beautiful", i feel she could do great.

Riot Poof

I do like "Writing's on the Wall," but Lana's music totally fits the Bond aesthetic. Poor Lana's being ignored by both the Bond producers and the Grammys. :flop:

Lana would be a fine choice, but Sam Smith made more sense for this soundtrack. He has that soulful voice that can be paralleled with Adele who did the last track, he was the hot artist of the moment and he is from the UK like James Bond.
