I am a huge Spielberg fan and I'm thoroughly interested. I have NO clue what "The BFG" was until I just looked up information about it and it sounds great!!

This is the first live action film adaptation of "The BFG", written by Roald Dahl, the acclaimed writer of: 
The Witches

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Matilda

The Gremlins  (loosely based on Roald Dahl's book but produced by Spielberg in 1984)

James and the Giant Peach

The Fantastic Mr. Fox
