I have this theory on what Gaga’s fifth album is going to be about.

Partly agree, but I think y'all forget the DARKNESS part she mentions a lot as well...!

Rebirth, yes but also revisiting her old self as cadaver, healing through the art of darkness, AHS influencing her new music...

It ain't gonna be your typical basic "new start" album! That butterfly is gonna be a DARK ROMANTIC ONE...

Omg this got me excited! I'm even imagining the cover and the theme. It could be a dark era, but not dark like TFM (no blood), more like dark glamour. It would be similar to Fame's promo pictures. The cover could be a black and white portrait (although I know everyone hates black and white covers) with Gaga having black hair and this black eyeliner Adele likes to wear. She would have a big black and gold butterfly covering half of her face or with a gap for her eye

where did I say I was talking about myself not being able to relate to her songs? I'm talking about the people who listen to top 40 radio that need to get behind her with this album so she can get back to being a driving force in popular culture, not just a woman with an army of dedicated superfans. 

when she uses her controversial metaphorical approach to songwriting, they don't get it and her potentially relatable ideas get tossed aside. even the simplicity of Marry the Night was too complicated for the GP to understand the meaning. 

The goal of a songwriter isn't to alienate, it's to represent emotions through words and music that other people connect to and find value in. She needs to move towards more songs like The Edge of Glory and back away from songs like Applause or Aura. 

I understand Gaga and her way of thinking, so her method of expression doesn't bother me one bit. But if she wants to create something universal, she needs to drop the pop star/fame motifs in her music.

I wasn't too much in that Butterfly theory but you made some great points. It may be hinting next era. Though I don't think it will be the album title. Maybe more about the concept of the rebirth of Lady Gaga after everyone turned their back to her at the end of BTW era and during the whole ARTPOP era.

Gaga said in 2014 in an interview for Yahoo talking about her next album (it's the one and only time she talked about it actually), that she'll going to return to her own self. And she said a lot of times she'll return to the art of darkness too. 

I think the butterfly thing could mean that LG5 will be her rebirth as the Lady Gaga we used to know in the past.
