If i make a song it'll be 1:30 so people have to play it over and over again to get their fix

I buy music whenever i can but when i don't have the money, i pirate. it's not something i am proud of or like doing, i just don't have the money. they should have a discount thing for low income people. I do however buy albums though but for singles i get them illegally

surely things you can cut back on to be able to afford 10-15$ for an album

I use Spotify for all my music. I buy all of Gaga's album digitally and physical and I download singles for artists I love. (Zedd, Clavin Harris, The Chainsmokers)

i only buy albums from my favs. other than that, i illegally dl. i don't have money to waste on an album every time a new one comes out and the FBI has far more important matters to worry about than people torrenting music, lmao.

It won't be really die, look at Vinyl.

There will always people who buys CDs regardless because these days music is not just lifestyle anymore, but the life itself.

There might be a way to stop piracy in the future, or never, we'll never know.

I am just bothered some people who actually afford to buy CDs choose to be cheap about it by doing illegal downloading.

But I am thinking many of them just haven't really have a job, so they didn't really understand how it feels when your hard work is not appreciated (in the form of payment) as much as you wanted until they do. So they have more egotistical views in life until then.

As for me, I bought CDs and digital all the same. Lately, I limit CD purchase to few artists and bands only as my collection expanded, I will need bigger space to store them and that is only aean to slow that process a little.

While with digital, I can just get huge capacitu external.drive, say 1 TB, and store all my purchased digital music there, no hassle and.didn't take much space, just need a spot on my laptop desk.

i only buy albums of like my top 5 favorite artists, but besides that i buy tickets to tours of artists' albums i liked, so in the end they get more money from me than someone who bought an album ?

And you consider you have a right to listen and ejoy music without paying? IF you cant afford it, you cant have it. 10$ subscribtion is too much? Would you Take a phone from a store? Would you not pay a hairdressers 'cause it was just a bit of prooning?

The point being, its STEALING IF you don't pay. There's no excuse. "They have millions" yeah, so does Apple...

There has to be a change in attitude! This is sad and wrong..

(Btw Im speaking more generally, not really to you personally :) )

Youtube isn't affecting anything too much. You can't really listen to a full album on Youtube in HQ without going onto the artist's vevo page (if they even have the album uploaded). Streaming services need to pay a hell of a lot more for the music.

But you know what, the music is right there, fresh for the pickings. I may not have a "right" to listen to it but I don't really care.

But I still buy both a physical and a digital version of Gaga's albums.
