So as we can see Rihanna is neither an artist nor professional… just a lazy girl with "an ear for hits"

No I think her label pushed her to do Sia track hence why Rih didn't even show up and hence why she didn't include any of them on the album

1. Rihanna is lazy as ****.

2. Katheryn's prepared. Very a--lytical. It's the "enemy of creativity." Hmm.

3. Beyonce has writing camps. Nothing new here.

while it's nice to know that Gaga is much more involved in her songwriting than the girls mentioned in the interview, let's be honest and admit that there are songwriters who are even more involved than Gaga and do everything by themselves, without much input from collaborators.

I don't really like her "Hey, whatever" attitude towards music tbh!

She is talented but releasing an album full of rejects :rip: Without even trying to make the album consistent or a one body of work :rip:

This interview was a little too goofy.

She’s very Frankenstein when she comes to songs. She’ll say, ‘I like the verse from that. I like the pre-chorus from that. Can you try mixing it with that?’”

How embarassing! :toofunny:

If I were her I would be more professional and not give up such details about work done with high profile clients.

Rihanna doesn't do ****, she is not talented, artistic or anything, she just stays in her house and waits to sing the songs that other people made for her, she doesn't contribute to anything, she trully represents what is wrong and unfair in the music industry, even Katy Perry is more versatile than her

I know. Back when she announced "This Is Acting", I was like "Eh, it looks like she's just releasing these songs just for the money" and she probably is, but sometimes I listen to Bird Set Free or Alive and I think that her so called Demos or "rejects" are even better than so many other artists' so called "Masterpieces" or even albums that took so much work and time to make.

I think Sia is talented and she knows how to make a hit song, but the thing is, I enjoy her music and her voice, and that's what I care about. She has had the ability to make an "experiment" album sound better than so many other pop albums that everyone talks about.

I love how open she is :rip: She's just real and honest. She is passionate about her music and lyrics, but fully admits she also writes music for money.  Calling out all them fake hoes pretending they run their careers, when Sia is the one who completely controls her own life by using her god given talents.

True.

At the same time, I just feel like she doesn't take music that seriously. An artist to me is someone who must write or must sing. I feel a "whatever" vibe from her.

And that immediately turns me off for some reason.

I really liked how forward she was with the answers and honest too :flutter: And YAY at her pointing out how dominant Katy is when it comes to lyric writing, about time someone spoke out about her involvement so the people who don't believe that she does write lyrics and get involved with that aspect of her music can see that she actually does :laughga:

It is mean that Rihanna and Kanye don't show up, like don't send out a message that you will if you won't :rip:

Why didn't she talk about Britney?

I'm still curious about how they wrote songs for Britney Jean, cause excuse me but you have to be on d--gs to write such a s--tty song like Perfume. :laughga:

Where all the Katy-haters now?

I love how some people are zooming in on "the enemy of creativity" instead of the "for me" part. Different songwriters write differently. Some people like to tweak and rewrite a lot, others go with the flow and let the first draft be the last. Neither is inherently better than the other. If you're too a--lytical, the song can be soulless. If you're too first draft-best draft, the song can be sloppy. You need to learn to balance both, which is why I thought it was neat that Sia toughed it out and worked with Perry and ended up liking her. And moreover, that Katy didn't want to quit.

Honestly, the music industry deserves to get called out for its absolute laziness. I'm glad Sia straight up said "Rih and Kanye don't show up," and that Beyonce runs a writing camp. You can't say "I'm an artist" and BS about how your soul went into this album, and then have everyone else do the dirty work while you pick and choose the best.

The exposing of Rihanna and her laziness and lack of punctuality

Katy and her basic writing style being so repetitive and surface level

Beyonce acting like a straight diva taking bits and pieces of everyone else's  hard work while she just sings the end result

What a sad industry...no wonder Gaga doesn't collabout with pop girls...she's obviously far above that...
