You guys are forgetting about the oscars. Either if she wins or not, its quiet possible she gets nominated and therefore perform. I dont think lg5 will come around that time but the months after.

Remember she tweeted after this year's Oscars that she was gonna perform TIHTY at the next ceremony Not sure if that was an official confirmation, but she was pretty unambiguous about it imo.

But yeah, I agree with what you're saying. Releasing after she has that global moment is probably the best strategy available rn.

After the great year she's had I trust Bobby tbh. Plus, even if she doesn't start the promotions on February like we expected it doesn't mean she'll just go on a 6-month blackout until she releases something. I'm pretty sure they have other interesting projects coming our way to build the hype even further.

For Gaga's standards it underperformed, but I wouldn't call it a flop. It sold about on par with every other pop release that year. 

Applause was a huge memorable hit for her and was her longest charting single in the Billboard top 10. 

She's still one of the most popular artist out there. I'm not even going to go in to how much success she's had in 2015.

of course ARTPOP flopped for gaga's standarts. also artrave flopped compared to her other tours. but flop is flop

applause was great song but not memorable hit (Though it was the best song from ARTPOP)

That was my opinion on where Gaga should take her career.  But I got that from when Bobby said they wanted to focus on Gaga also as a musician.  Additionally, there's a reason why he and Gaga are building this new vocal artist persona.  I'm just saying that it would seem odd for Gaga to back to generic pop after she spent a year and a half doing the complete opposite.  I can still see her in pop music but maybe toned down and conservative.  Gaga did mention stuff about her age and how she wants to mirror that in her new music.
