I love Maddie, but this same concept over and over is getting repetitive.

I can't understand most of the words, except for "I'm Alive". Those vocal cracks are not pleasing to the ears, I wonder if that will end up hurting the song on radio and overall?

Same! I don't know if the Australian accent is like that or if it's just Sia that sings that weird

Anyone could easily just Google a picture of her. It's only a marketing thing and it's kinda lame by this point.

But she has shown her face. Multiple times. That tweet is from today. Not to mention that she was performing and giving appearances with her face on show for years and years before her breakthrough as an artist. There's just a lack of consistency that makes it hard for me to buy it all completely.

I get why she'd rather have privacy in her life, and as a personal decision I respect that. But in my opinion, using it as an artistic decision is boring and gimmicky. To have people dancing around her in videos/performances while she's stood still hidden in some "creative" way is completely uninteresting now. I liked some of the initial videos and Chandelier performances but the same formula at this point is tired. Her current iTunes position reflects that.

Like I say, it's understandable if you don't wanna get caught up in the fame lifestyle. But if that's the case... don't chase it. No one forced her to sign a major recording deal, onto every major TV show or to do interviews etc. If you can't stand the heat, get out the kitchen.

she only signed so she can write for artists. she put out albums so she could get out of the contract and 1000 forms of fear was her ticket out. i dont know what happened if she decided to resign or what though. and we know her reason for covering her face and its not for gimmicks as she has said multiple times before.

songwriting deals & recording deals are different things, but even if that was the case she would have to agree to the amount of promoting and performing she does. and also where does that leave this new album? I do believe her reasoning for not showing her face to an extent but it really is a gimmick. Of course it wouldn't be said. That whole style of performance has become her "thing", except nothing has changed apart from they've added a new colour to the wig. I totally respect her as an artist but this is just my opinion about her presentation.

I absolutely love Sia. But I don't like the voice cracking in her singing. It doesn't seem like it could possibly be good for her voice... I feel like she might be damaging her voice and over-extending its capacity. It makes me concerned. But I love her style as a vocalist.... and all her gutsy authenticity.

Gwen Stefani is sitting there like... "jeez, i wish i was as creative, original and amazing of a vocalist as Sia...."

Speaking accents don't usually matter when it comes to singing so it's not the Aussie accent. :flop:

If she has a good technique (and she seems to have), it is totally healthy and natural to crack. :)
