I'm supposing he repressed all of the thoughts that don't belong to his usual personality. Repression is definitely real, but there's no way it could ever function like this. But I'm pretty sure that's what Ryan had in mind.
Slayer 9,227
Wasn't a fan of this episode but I won't add to the negativity as there's enough of it in this thread. I enjoyed Gaga's scenes. In fact, it was the first time I sat through a scene with Gaga and it didn't even register that I was watching her. She's slipped into this role very nicely. Having said that, I do find the way the Countess acts a bit to-and-fro. Sometimes she'll be a cool chick with a very 'Gaga-esque' walk, other times she glides along like a silver screen film star. I don't know if this is on purpose or not. Much like Gaga herself, the Countess seems to take on various different personalities depending on the occasion (or time era). I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Something about the Hotel Cortez makes him forget, doesn't it? I was a bit confused about that too. There was a lot of explaining in this episode, but not much of it made sense. Brooke Candy 3,970
My god this episode was so f*cking boring.. This whole season so far is just a mess... The Countess has the only interesting storyline. John ruins the whole season for me. He's soo annoying ughh.. I'm not really interested in the rest of this season anymore. Only gonna watch to see Gaga.. buy 'Paper or Plastic' by Brooke candy on iTunes NOW!!

PrinceGaga 7,470
Well that was a diasspointing episode. The most boring character got a whole episode. Wowee! Hopefully it picks up next week because (I'm not saying this just cause I'm a Gaga fan) but the Countess is basically the only interesting character to me. They couldn't have picked a worse character to frontline. So disappointing.
LastNight 5,678
I really liked it! It definitely explained a lot about why John was so passive and not very present. I like that it added to the atmosphere of the hotel, like the place itself messes you up and ruins your mind. It was not a shock that John is the 10CK BUT they compensated for the lack of shock by explaining the back story which I thought was really interesting and it was making more sense of the story to me. I like that the Addiction Demon wasn't just abandoned, I hope we hear more about it though. Mr March said something about it needing to feed and he protects Sally from it as long as she does his bidding...at least that's what I got from it. It also explains some of the first episode and why Sally preyed on Max Greenfield, to satiate the Demon. It would have been typical AHS to just abandon that story so I'm happy they didn't, all we need now is for something to happen with the school of children who became infected, although I'm starting to think that will be left alone. They are doing a much better job of managing the large cast and all the story lines in Hotel than they were last season. Unfortunately it's meant that characters are left out for episodes at a time, but I think dipping in and out of different story lines is better than having big name cast members essentially left with scraps because there was no real place for them. It happened with Angela last season, so even though she's made rare appearances in Hotel so far, her storyline seems like its going to be fully dealt with (judging from next week's preview) instead of left to the side of the road as in Freak Show. If that makes any sense at all? Not the best episode ever, but really not that bad either. I'm hoping for more twists and turns as the season edges toward the end, ow that the killer has been "revealed" it paves the way for something else to bring the storyline to it's conclusion. I'm hoping for a big shock or twist of some kind but we'll see.
