There are way too much dumb and stupid people with the power to be heard. And too many of that same species want way too much to stand out.

Name dropping isn't funny. The stupidity of it all makes me really mad!!

No disrespect to Whitney, but I never found her to be that great of a vocalist. She had a tendency to shout/yell when she sang. I prefer Adele's vocals.

Not that I care for Adele but please.

This, i've never even heard of the comparison before. it's like the article was just made to compare the two.

"As far as Adele being a Houston-like figure in terms of appeal, only someone white would think to say this." :rip:

Uh, wow... Adele is no where even close to being as superior as Whitney.

Lace up my boots, throw on some leather and cruise.

Adele also writes her own songs tho.

Did Whitney?

People look for different things in the music they listen to.

Over the top vocals might be of upmost importance to you, while songwriters are of upmost importance to me.

Comparisons in music are actually great and should be encouraged.

It makes it easier to find new music to listen to.

If this is just about vocals Adele really is the only current artist whose vocal presence is beloved and cherished by the GP to such a high extent.

It's definitely not Katy, Taylor, Gaga (yet), etc.

Oh please. I will do as I wish with my praise and my thoughts.

I hear people compare Adele to Aretha Franklin than Whitney tbh. This the first time I've read or heard anyone comparing to her.

"Someone only white would say this".

I lost all respect for this biased article when I read that racist crap. Adele shouldn't be compared to Whitney because they aren't the same type of singer, not because their voices are similar. The only thing they have in common is the fact that they have natural, with ease vocals, with little to no strained delivery. Whitney's voice was higher pitched, and Whitney is a pop- balladeer, like Celine or even Mariah. Adele can be compared to Etta James, Patsy Cline, karen carpenter, or anyone with a thick and velvety tone. The direction this article went in, was wrong in its delivery and sounds like it's written by a pressed and somewhat racist fan. Adele deserves all the accolades she is getting, and some people just can't stand it.

sorry but that's not a matter of opinion

she was one of the greatest vocalists all time and this is a fact.

if you didn't like her style that's another matter.

I love Adele and 25 but i don't like how ppl overrate her esp. comparing her to Whitney. Ppl are just dumb sometimes. Gaga as the next Madonna tea indeed.

I love you

This is actually the first time I see Adele and Whitney Houston in the same sentence. But anyway, I hate when people or THE MEDIA compare new artists to others. The next Freddie Mercury, the next Michael Jackson, the next Madonna.
