If she was white she wouldn't do what she is doing she would be called out for cultural appropriation (actually she was called out for appropriation while looking for a dancer to do a very specific dance. she tracked the guy instead of hiring someone to copy the dance....) also I think that's the mix between sri lanka and british culture that makes her so unique. People can go on and on about their fear regarding refugees but if they could take two minutes to think of the actual human being behind the picture they have in their mind it would be nice... but who knows maybe karma will get back to us and we will be in a similar position one day!
