The label has to do a lot promotion and the artists themselves need to appeal to the public. Iwontell 7,312 Posted November 27, 2015 Share Posted November 27, 2015 Kpop and Jpop groups are unlikely to become successful in the US (which is the one music market that really matters, if the point is to become famous and make a s--tload of money), because the cultural differences are just enormous...what makes these acts beloved in their countries (wether it's a different way of dressing or having 12 girls in a group) is the very thing that makes the american audience not take them seriously...
