I wouldn't be so sure about that. :green:

She's never really big in Japan tbh, her Hello sales on iTunes Japan reaches #5 iirc whereas it gets to #1 elsewhere.

And 21 were only reaching #4 there.

Nah, it's down to #2 on its 5th day on Oricon Daily Chart. It's not going to sell 50K on its 1st week there. The record there is being hold by Utada (3M).

Japan is the only major music market that doesn't care about Adele though.

Oooh yeah you're right about that, but I thought you meant Japan's record for fastest selling album of all time held by Utada, I was saying that she probably will break that 3 million + record in the US :rip:

In addition, 25 has also broken the sales record in Canada selling 261,000 albums in just over four days. :neyde:

Thing is, she's going to sell so much this year. Christmas sales are going to be insane. She could even break the record she set in her debut week on the final week before Christmas in some markets (Ed Sheeran did that - he sold 180k in the first week, which was the fastest selling album of the year, and he sold something like 247k on Christmas week, despite the album being 6 months old by that point). But after that...she won't exactly rule 2016. She'll get the January bargains sales, the BRITS sales and at the Grammys too, but that's all early in the year. After that, she won't have much more juice out of it. Remember that Hello was a huge bestseller before the album was even out. Now it is out and all the songs are charting (and falling) meaning that she won't be able to get any more successful singles out of this album as everyone who's interested will have bought them already with the complete album. The whole era won't be stretched out for 2+ years like 21 was because everyone will buy it in the first 2 months, then there's nothing new to sell. This is why Adele can't get more than one #1 single in the UK per album despite being such a success here. It won't stand a chance of breaking those records like "longest consecutive weeks in the top ten" or "longest consecutive weeks in the top 100" and definitely not "most re-entries at #1." So, the artists of next year won't really have much to worry about. There won't be any massive Adele singles after this and sales will no longer be an issue around roughly March. It may be a slay but it'll be a quick slay. But her label certainly knew what they were doing releasing this in time for Christmas.

Just a pity that everyone's going doolally over such an average album. You'd think this style of music had ever been done before or something.
