yeah,i don't like her but that doesn't mean i can't make any threads about her.I  made "A Happy Birthday,Katy" thread too,so your point?

also,it literally took me 5 minutes to create this thread and i got that much time on my hands

What a horrible advert. I actually like Katy, I've seen her on tour and she has some great bops that I enjoy. A Katy Perry Christmas song should be pure gold: it's a commercial, bubblegum, all-round-fun match made in heaven on paper, but in reality the song is just bad. The advert is definitely creepy and she is not good in it.

I don't mind the cheesy pop aspect of Katy in the slightest but that shtick is getting a bit much - she looks ridiculous here. I'm all for fun, but for a 30(?) year old woman I think there's better ways to do it because this just looks so contrived and phoney. I'm not saying she should be completely serious or mature at all, just do this campy fun in a better way, in a more believable way. It's making me nervous for what she'll come up with for her next album. I don't want her to abandon her fun time image, but she definitely needs to come up with something new and change gears a bit. There's a disconnect for me and that's something I think casual listeners are starting to feel too, I've certainly heard my friends make similar comments. 

I hate to bash Katy on a site where she gets so much hate because I genuinely do like her and enjoy a lot of her music, but she can do better than this. This is just a Christmas advert and not that big of a deal, but it speaks to a larger problem with the 'Katy Perry brand'. I think I'm mostly just annoyed that she could have delivered a pop-tastic gem of a Christmas song and instead she came up with this.
