I know labels tend to push artists, but he's still the one who says yes or no in the end. Some people really don't know when to stop, or when to take a break. The way I see it is that he wants to release music, and do the least amount of promo. Her version of Gimme More featured a funeral scene, remember? She had a "f*ck you" attitude throughout the era but she was pushed to do the era in the first place. Even for the Piece of Me video she turned up like 20 hours late if I remember correctly. Besides the VMA's she also never performed during the "era". Circus of course another MAJOR pushed album, she lost her kids in court 5 hours before she went in to record Quicksand, the song Gaga wrote.
