Def Jam’s Justin Bieber is this week’s sales champ, prevailing over SYCO/Columbia’sOne Direction, as his Purpose tops the HITS Album Sales Chart with 504k and the Sales Plus Streaming (SPS) Chart with 620k. FYI, those numbers signify the biggest debut of 2015 (in both categories) as well as the biggest sales-plus-streaming number ever.

1D’s Made in the AM certainly put up a good fight. The two releases traded the lead until Bieber pulled away decisively over the weekend. Both titles overperformed hugely.1D landed at #2 with 414k in sales, which bests 2014’s Four, and 470k at SPS.
