The German minister of internal affairs released this statement in a press conference (translated from Dutch by me):

I've advised to cancel the match. Dealing with terrorism requires co-operation, not discussion.

There have been multiple cases that pointed towards attacks and danger towards people. Assessing these threats isn't easy. Casting them away can be fatal. Take everything seriously, and you give these people exactly what they want.

German interior minister Thomas de Maizière said at a press conference late on Tuesday that he recommended the cancellation of the football match between Germany and the Netherlands after receiving "concrete information" from security services. He said information has been coming in since the Paris attacks, but that the information regarding the match in Hanover had become so specific that a decision was made to call off the game. He refused to comment on the source and extent of the threat, saying that the release of information could cause some people to stop providing information.

We can only try to trust our governments that they have the abilities to prevent such attacks

In the press conference it was said that nothing has been found yet and no arrests had been conducted. They can't expand too much on the reasons for the cancellation (other than saying they had concrete info about a possible threat), because a lot of the info is confidential.

I think it's good that people were evacuated (I'm not sure if it was only a threat or the real bomb), better not to take any risk.

It's not so easy to "kill them all", because they are already in Europe and it's difficult to decide who is a terrorist and who is not - not all of them are so open about it.

Yes, this is right.

The concert from the Jazz-musician Maceo Parker in the venue "Pavillon" at the Raschplatz near the main station in Hannover got cancelled and evacuated by the police.

Luckily the sold-out show in the TUI Arena by German artists "Söhne Mannheims" already ended - and nothing bad did occur!
